Banned completely, or is it the plastic disposable ones?

Had this convo with the Mrs, she's a teacher and these things are rife in schools. It was on TV about banning them and I was like, adults should be able to make their own decisions, no way should anyone be told whether they can do this or not. Why the **** could anyone just to decide to ban them across the board, on what grounds?

Sales to school kids though, fair enough.

The flavoured ones, well at least to start with in the EU, all member states to introduce the legislation in 3 days time, with the ban being effective by December 2023...

I think the UK councils (whoever they might be) were complaining about disposable ones... https://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/news/23661664.local-councils-call-disposable-vapes-banned-uk/

The current Tory policy is a complete ban on smoking by 2030, but they will not be in power, so it will be down to Labour to scrap the idea if they want. I think New Zealand is already smoke free...

I agree on adults should be able to make their own decisions, but like smoking indoors, we weren't allowed a choice, or the publicans certainly weren't.

Trouble is Abe, no one takes any notice of legislation that comes in, much like the pensions where we got screwed over, the ban on indoor smoking as well, we just accept it. I know some publicans were against it, but they didn't want the fines because we have a lot of jobs worths (snitches) in this country, who want to poke their nose into other people's business.

I think pubs should have been allowed to make their own choices, so have kept smoke out of family themed places, but let the little boozer (what's left of them) on the corner decide their own rules.

it’s because the British nation a lazy bunch of incredibly selfish idiots…….if we stood together rather than stand aside because it doesn’t effect me mentality then none of these so called lack of choice would be considered out of fear of the consequences of being booted out of the job

Great Britain has been broken on purpose and whilst we argue over the dwindling crumbs of freedom they the decision makers do what they want and they laugh at our pathetic ignorance

but that's the point you can't, you try lighting up in a boozer, chances are you'll get slung out, so the only decision you can make is not to go in there, but that's not the landlords fault, he gets penalised if he allowed you.

again that would only happen in a free and open society

That was a fantastic decision tbf.

Been reading back on the smoking in pubs. Pubs are for people to go and have a drink not a smoke. If you don't smoke then ending up stinking of the stuff it isn't acceptable imo as a non smoker.
A good pub will always have customers it doesn't need to allow smoking.

Get out in the rain y'smelly ****s.

Can't wait to get out of this piss wet sodden country.

It's late July, it could be mid October.

Van roof leaking, **** all I can do about it, just got to ride it out and get to a dry country.

Drinking a Mahou in anticipation.

I'd take life endangering heat over this ****e we've got to put up with, atm.

Enjoy.

My Mrs is now at that almost manic 'must clean the house before we go' stage.

Mental. It's fine, no idea why it has to be shiny before we leave.

I've just opened my second beer, I'm done for the day!

Got a **** ton of driving over the next couple of days to get to Barca so need to relax a bit.
