Did you do the island hopping thing as a kid?

A couple my mates did, lived in tents and made money whitewashing houses.

Wish I'd done it myself tbh.

Early 80's - was 24 25 mainly - one of my mates stayed out there one summer - had a job handing out (nightclub) flyers on the beach in Rhodes (town) ... we went out to join up with him and took it from there ... was such a good crack we did it the next year - last time I was 29 just me and one mate - late Sept early October - that's when we did Crete which was still very hot even that late in the season ... and accomodation was ridiculously cheap ...

Last time we were in The Camargue, there were Flamingo's everywhere, now the tracks that take you to the lakes are all gated off, apparently they had a severe drought 4 years ago , and some of the salt lakes still haven't recovered, managed to find a few today.

After lots of emotional blackmail, ended up taking the wife and daughter into Paris today.
35min train ride, €8 return.
Paris is nice in places just avoid getting into a fight with American homeless people. That's another story.

Today was the 5th time I've been, the last time I said would be the last (2018) full of scum everywhere, especially around the Eifel tower, looks like they've had a cleanse for the Olympics.
Some parts were closed still, saw 5 members of the American paralympic team.
