Just booked Dorset for 10 days, from Sunday, then 5 days at a festival, then will see what weather is like and may add another week on somewhere.

Finish work at twelve today, go home and do final sort of the van and packing. Drive to Portsmouth tonight and then on the first boat to Caen in the monring.

Will be in the Charente Maritime by tomorrow evening having a cold beer by the pool and then having a day round the canals and Marans marina area Saturday. Be in full French mode by then.

Bordeaux vineyard Sunday, then off down the Atlantic coast Monday.

Why on these ferries do they have ping pong table on the deck, always found that strange. you ain't controlling that ball.

Sounds great enjoy. Off to Barcelona aquarium, bit nervous of some kind of Jaws related incident.

How long you going for?

You been to a fish restaurant in the harbour yet?

Look out for La Gavina, if it still exists.

I celebrated our 1999 CL win in there the day after with a nice sea bass and some fine hangover curing red wine.
