I'm also tempted with Lisbon.
Been there, good choice. We're planning my brother's stag and Porto seems to be the city we've chosen, looks surprisingly cheap and has a good mix of old and new. Not been but heard great things.

Talking of which one of my oldest friends is currently skippering a yacht through the Northwest Passage. He’s in constant contact with us due to Starlink and all the mates group (all at school together so 45-50 years mate group) are bombarding him with Titanic posts, gifs etc due to the constant ice he’s navigating through. However scenery is amazing, lucky bigger, we’re all envious.
Better than Lisbon for a stag, in my opinion, although my viewpoint of Lisbon is tainted as was held at gunpoint out of town centre by a dodgy taxi driver and his mate. Fortunately was with a younger Glaswegian colleague who had no fear or concept of bullets, who dealt with the situation.
Sounds about right! Hahahaha
Just a very quick ps..on Vietnam....If anyone fancies going, avoid February and the Tet period. Yes, that's the TET...It gets crazy with half of the country on the move with travel and hotel costs going up 60%, 70% overnight.
Yep the special Banh Mi’s with everything are about 70p and local beers about £1 - heaven on earth.Flights going east and back ..with Cathay Pacific. Three nights in hotel in Kowloon, Hong Kong, HK to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh to HK..All for less than £1,600 more than £1,580. Add in hotels and internal travel when there. Probably touching £1,850. Cheap place to live...Can't imagine a beer or a Bahn Mi will cost much...
No idea with Vietnam railways. Should be okay. TigerBoy98 has used them.
I was mainly looking because I fancied a Singapore Sling in Raffles!![]()
Been to a very nice curry house in Hornsea, open well past getting pissed time ( @Ron Burguvdy will remember the name)Hornsea is a decent destination these days, especially for a Stag do. Couple of converted shops now pretending to be pubs and someone said one of the curry houses is open until 8.00pm. Downside? Last bus back to civilisation is 10 past 9.
Had a **** at the door one night up here looking for my lad,had a gun, fired 2 shots at me,missed, stopped shooting then got the beating of his life...Yes it's definitely a Glasgow thing but I've got the problem of being as mad as the bastards but English...Better than Lisbon for a stag, in my opinion, although my viewpoint of Lisbon is tainted as was held at gunpoint out of town centre by a dodgy taxi driver and his mate. Maa, there's also a Beverley 'Maa' which we not as impressed by. Hornsea one you take your own 'alcohol' like the Hornsea Tandori, unlike the Sonali (not the Beverley one)...Been to a very nice curry house in Hornsea, open well past getting pissed time ( @Ron Burguvdy will remember the name)
