Just been chatting with the barman about Acun and Hull City in Kemer, Turkey. A very balmy 26 or 27 degrees every day. Perfect timing to coincide with a couple of away games.

Mid 40s was many years ago when we had the kids in tow. Now it’s easier as it’s usually just the two of us. That said only last year the eldest (34) said she needed a holiday and somehow I ended up paying for us all to go to Cyprus.

Talking of yachts, a close friend of mine is currently skippering this beauty across the Atlantic, just left Gib on the way to Tenerife. Tough old life. I'm sure it's only half the size of Chelsea's tub though seeing as we're talking about sizes!

Just booked the flights to my daughter’s place, 18th-28th December. Cannot wait to see the new bar and my log cabin, it was absolutely f-in freezing in the pool last year, but a Christmas dip is a bit of a tradition….
