I’ve been lucky enough to visit Trinity House a few times for tours etc
Completely agree. If anyone gets the chance they should do it. Amazing place that we’re lucky to have.
If you’re having a Hull day out then I’d also recommend the free walking tours from the museums. Really good.

There's centuries of history within its walls - I was in the guard of honour for the Queens visit to commemorate the 600th Anniversary of Trinity House in 1969, that was the last time I was in the non-school bit; I think I need to book myself a tour for next time in Hull.

That’s amazing
Rumour has it when she was there she looked at the chandelier in one room and commented “Oh…that’s where the other one is!” <laugh>

Anyone been to Hamburg (Germany) in the past couple of years? Not getting confused with the one in US.

Nah...purely innocent, old boy. I was in Hamburg about 35 years ago...I've done the Reeperbahn. What a hole of s*it, that was. Like Waterhouse Lane, back in the day!! Want to go back to visit a few haunts...Bet its changed..
A hole of ****? Should have turned her over! :emoticon-0143-smirk

Just had a week in Skiathos, our first visit to Greece, Loved it. Only downside is that we flew from Leeds Bradford so had to endure a plane full of small old fat bald blokes in shorts, because they have a LUFC tatoo on their legs on the plane there and back, even greeting each other with a verse of 'Marching Altogether'. Managed to avoid them all week though, in fact never saw another football shirt anywhere. Most bizare football connection was seeing a Newcastle Utd fan with a tatoo of Peter Beardsley on one leg and Alan Shearer ( with hair), who looked more like Larry Grayson on the other.
Beautiful town, lovely friendly people too, no yobo's. no time share touts and no lucky lucky men. One young German girl thought I was a footballer, which was nice and another ' From Northern Germany' tapped me on the shoulder and said 'I think your accent is wonderful, where are you from?'
Even the Mamma Mia chapel was worth the £80 boat trip, and I've never seen the film so it mean nothing to me beforehand.
In or on skiathos now. Avoiding all things Mama Mia. Really spoilt the islands in my opinion but great for locals taking cash off tourists

Didn't find it too bad in that respect, only down in the port area was every man and his dog with a boat offering mama mia tours. The best beaches are at the opposite end of the island to skiathos town, end of the airport runway is entertaining for half an hour and you can still find a bit of old traditional Greece inland.
