Most likely the Yanks with a few of ours, we’ve been sailing from Cyprus to Gaza to help deliver aid and building the pier.
Thought I had seen on the news that they have given up with the pier.

My wife's father was from Lythe and his father was Butler to Lord Normanby at Mulgrave Castle so we know that coast very well, Runswick Bay, Staithes and Sandsend, fantastic places.Currently in Port Mulgrave, sounds exotic but is about 20 minutes north of Whitby, although the views are cracking as we’re in a cottage on the cliff top overlooking the sea.
We’re here with three of our Grandkids aged 7, 4 and 3. I do wonder why I let myself get talked into these things. You need the patience of a saint and the negotiating skills of Henry Kissinger!
Taking them to Flamingo Land today, £162 for the 5 of us, including the youngest being free because he’s only 3. Daylight robbery.
We’ve been to Saltburn, Whitby a couple of times and did a bit of boating at Ruswarp.
Thankfully at these ages it doesn’t take too much to keep them amused for the day, which is just as well, as if you had to go somewhere like Flamingo every day you’d be bankrupt.
We’ve been very lucky with the weather this week considering the summer we’ve had though.
Roll on September and a peaceful week in Lake Garda!

Probably! It broke not long after being built lolThought I had seen on the news that they have given up with the pier.
How was it ? Or did you do scarb instead?Off up to Filey tomorrow, where is best to park? @Chazz Rheinhold, I’m sure you said you go there often (or at least more often than me) what do you recommend for kids (5 and 2) to do?

The missus & I sat at the next table to Quinn & Bisset on a restaurant patio on Corfu, just North of Corfu's capital Kerkyra, when they were filming scenes for the movie "The Greek Tycoon" in '77 or thereabouts.. A few civil words passed between us as we were the only 4 people there (mid day sun and all that!). The missus picked up a walk-on extra gig, which ended up on the cutting room floor unfortunately. The missus thought they stopped off because of her, as I thought the beautiful Jacqueline spotted me as they were driving by.Thoughts Sw??

Didn't ask for our hotel room number sadly.

The capital of Corfu is Corfu Town. Kerkyra is the Greek name for Corfu. Great town. Jacqueline Bassett was very fit. Could you concentrate on your meal?
When in Rome do as the Greeks do -meaning speak unreadable words with faultless pronunciation. The capital of Corfu is Corfu Town. Kerkyra is the Greek name for Corfu. Great town. Jacqueline Bassett was very fit. Could you concentrate on your meal?
