Quite enjoyed vodka tea in Poland so if it's that type of party I'm in!
I've been to Boston.. last time about October 2015...stayed in a *hotel close to Boston Common. Don't recall a great deal, other than the hop-on-off bus service that went as far as Harvard University and MIT in Cambridge, and the heritage trail red line that runs for a couple of miles through the centre. Boston's got quite a European feel, compared to most US cities. Logan airport is not far from downtown, again unlike other major US cities, which tend to have airports out in the sticks...eg. O'Hare in Chicago, and JFK to a degree. The house where JFK was born is on Beals Street in Brookline...Not worth a visit TBH.
Coming to land at Logan you actually fly over Hull...fact.
PS.....There's a decent bar in Fenway Park, which served a decent pint of Guinness. No games on when I was there.

Going to be staying Boston Common area at the Boston Park Plaza.
I’ve got 2 daughters.
I’ve watched more rounders games than I care to remember.
If the scrapping with the opponents is anything like those games it’ll be brutal!
Plaza sounds decent...I was on the bottom floor of a budget place not far from Common subway station. Hence the getting woke up at 3am by the garbage truck. Exterior of 'Cheers' bar is at one end of Boston Common. Copley Plaza is a decent place to walk around and visit and the central library building as a cracking inner courtyard around a water feature. Loads of bars in and around the common and adjacent shopping area. I watched NE Pats vs Miami Dolphins at a sport bar with a bunch of Pats fans. Good fun and loud.

I’d already planned to do the library. I do like a good library.
There for 5 nights so if we get bored we might jump on a train to Salem or Manchester on Sea/Rockport area
True....JFK Library and Museum at Savin Cove Point is a decent visit, if you're into that kind of thing.
Seemed to recall getting bus to and from Logan Airport to South Station. Boston Common is not too far from there. 5 mins taxi. I think South Station is a leaving point for trains to NYC, if you fancy some time there. Though, I guess, it will take over 3 hours to get there. Have a great trip.
Stayed at the B. Park Plaza a few times on work visits a few years ago (John Hancock/Manulife Insurance Company takeover/merger) - offices were a couple of minutes away from the Common. Very decent area, friendly locals, good restaurants & bars around there. Not sure of prices these days mind. Enjoy your trip.

I think we went to New England aquarium in Boston, and went on an amphibious “duck” tour. I went to Fenway and needed a sit down after realising what I’d paid for a Guinness.
We sat in Grandstand, G12 row 1 at Fenway. Good view but low scoring game.

If you are interested in the history of the pilgrims who first arrived in the area it's worth taking a trip down to Plymouth, there's a recreation of the Mayflower and an open air museum that recreates the original native settlement and the first English settlement.
Also if you're using public transport, the silver line bus downtown is free from the airport, though not the return journey.
