Just watching Nacho and Vince having a cosy chat while all hell brakes lose around them and I thought talking about holidays is worthy of its own thread.

So what's your best holiday destination and what has been your worst? Where would you love to visit but haven't got around to going yet?

I don't think it's going to surprise anybody but my favourite place to go is Arnhem. I loved Florida and everything it had to offer, I'd also love to go back to Jamaica as my memory is very sketchy from back then. Arnhem is where the heart is at.

Worst destination has to be Turkey. It was full of Turkish people and I didn't like it. The creepy locals and all of the pressuring they put on you, did not make for a good trip and I flew home 4 days early.

Places I will definitely be visiting over the coming years... definitely Jamaica again but also Cuba and Thailand are places that I need to go.

Been to quite a few Greek islands
And a few Mediterranean places
A few carrabean and other places
My favourite carrabean resort is punta Cana
We go back a few time to the same hotel for pure relaxation food and drink on a gloryus beach
Worst place
Probably Bulgaria

Id have to say Austrailia aswell but i stayed with family so it didnt really feel like a holiday

If you could take the white sands and warm, crystal clear seas from Barbados and replace the Greek beaches with them then that'd be the perfect place for me.

I don't think that's going to happen any time soon so the fact that I love everything else about Greece wins out. Been going there since I was a kid and while I've been to other countries, mainly in Europe, it's always the first place I think of when we're planning on going away.

Worst holiday was Portugal, I went there with my girlfriend and her mum but we argued the whole time (not the mum) and broke up shortly afterwards, the place itself wasn't great either way more touristy than I like.

I have been all over Europe and out of all of them I would say Dalyan and Olu Denez (both in Turkey) have been my favourites. However, for the last couple of tears we have opted for a weeks adventure holiday at Derwent Hill near Keswick, and my two youngest (now 16 and 15) begged us to book up again for this year, so that is what we will be doing..

Portugal seems to be a disaster for British families.

Yeah I don't like touristy places. I remember walking around the main strip in Tenerife one night and I may as well have been walking down Jarrow high street.

It really did put a dampener on things because it no longer felt like a holiday. Going off the beaten track and get into the local neighbourhoods is right up my street.
