You had about 4 loaned defenders (correct me if I'm wrong) so I'm guessing you're a bit short.

Hobbs is a very good centre half at this level. People forget he's only 22, him and Ayala would be fantastic pairing in my opinion.

When people say there's a lack of experience, look at the number of games Hobbs has played over the last 3 seasons. He was in a team that got promoted from League 1 and then gained 5th place with the same team. Played a fair number of games last season despite Sven not wanting him.

The lack of experience never seemed to faze Ayala. He is absoloutely quality, just hope Liverpool are willing to sell at a fair price
 
Eriksson has asked Benfica to extend Miguel Vitor loan for one more year. They probably will say yes. He's way down their pecking order.

They produce defenders like David Luiz and Fabio Contraeo (on Madrid's radar) so it's easy to see why. Let's just hope they're willing to let him play at Leicester for another year.
 
I think this deal has been on the table for a while now, I think we are nailed on to sign him too, when the season ended there were a lot of clubs wanting him, these have pretty much faded away. We wont get him until Leicester bring in some CBs, and 800k is about right

The only team that produces good players in Portugal is Sporting Lisbon :emoticon-0105-wink:
Benfica buys them with 19 or 20 yo.

I'm not really up on my Portugese football to be honest. I did however enjoy a 3 year stint with Sporting Lisbon on LMA 2007, winning the league twice and the UEFA Cup in my second season :p

who the hell are you kidding? he's not the good! although he is young, we could get Ayala for that easy and he's 10x the player of Hobbs!
