My new worry about us signing Higuain is that we might now face competition from Chelsea and Man City for his signature, what with them also needing a new forward and also both not getting any closer to signing Cavani. City especially worry me because they have the money and also have a few Argentina players in their squad.

I doubt Chelsea are a threat, because Mourinho is the guy that didn't play him at Real.

Man City maybe, but they still have Dzeko and Aguero.

Carlo's presser is tomorrow so I am hoping he will confirm the deal is done.

I doubt he will start his first press conference with saying that he sold a player. More likely he will say "I will need to speak to the players myself and then we go from there"-kinda-talk.

Can definitely see him going to City. He's worked with Pellegrini before and they'll be looking to buy 2 strikers..

Its amazing how negative Arsenal fans are these days.

City have not even shown an interest in Higuain and yet many Arsenal fans have decided they are going to beat us to his signature.

According to the Times, Real want to use Higuain as part of a deal for Bale, so he could end up going to Spurs. That would be tragic.

Maybe that would make sense for Real Madrid but not for Higuain. I'm sure he wants to play CL football - which spurs dont offer. So they might as well sell him to us and then reinvest the money in Bale (almost the same thing, except it is better for us).

According to a Spanish journalist, Kiko Marin, Arsenal have put the Higuain deal "on hold" because they want to look at "another option". <steam>

Are you ****ing kidding me? How useless are we?

"I know, lets not sign a proven world class striker, lets investigate a probably vastly inferior option instead."

Ambition, ladies and gentlemen.

Why are people like you always so ready to believe gossip that suits your agenda ?
If the guy had posted that the Higuain transfer was a 100% certainty, you'd be saying that the rumour is a load of bullshit. Can you seriously see any football club saying to a player, 'We may buy you but we are looking at another option. If that option works out then the transfer is off but if it doesn't then we'll buy you'

How do you work that out ?
