Will be serious for a second (I know, it's a rarity).

This really has been a dogshit year for me and my family. Lost my Grandad in Feb, lost my Nan in October, my Mum had hip replacement surgery the day before the CL final, my Cousin had pneumonia in which - to quote the doctor - he was lucky to be alive, my Uncle was hospitalised recently where initial indications were a minor heart attack, and due to the loss of my grandparents there's a huge divide in the family where unfortunately some have shown their true colours with regards to money.

At times you look to football for a pick me up and so it sucked that the one year things outside of football were ****, the things in football also were. The CL run did provide one huge beacon of light though, I was in Dam for the semi final, not actually at the game but nonetheless it was incredible and the build up to the final was surreal.
But in general I can relive some great memories that he's provided and a simple trip to YouTube can always put a smile on your face, he made me feel proud of this club again, we saw a hunger and fight from this team that we hadn't seen for ages. Amazing results against rivals as well as some of the very best sides on the planet. He also helped develop academy players which means so much to us as fans with one becoming arguably the best striker in world football right now.

While I may have felt his time here had run it's course for now, he's still easily my favourite manager in my lifetime and I won't be surprised if that remains for many years to come.

Really wish the guy all the best and I'd like to think that the door isn't shut on a potential return in the future under different circumstances.

That really is a **** ride mate. Sorry to hear it. Your mum will be much better off with the new hip though. I was <ok> Things can only get better, hopefully.

Respect to Harry for trying. <laugh>
He's joking, but he's not really joking, is he? <laugh>

Worth a punt if he thought we didn't have anyone lined up and might need a caretaker, though. You can see why he's chanced it.

The ****ing state of us. Look what we've reduced him to. Couldn't delay the announcement by one ****ing day and let him say goodbye properly in the morning, like the gentleman he is.

**** this I'm out. See y'all in a few weeks time when I've cooled off a bit.

I thought the same...it's Levy's fault tho not Jose's....jus sayin

The 3 managers who have been any good under ENIC's reign have all been out the door in circumstances that aren't ideal.

It's pretty ****ing harsh but I do see some sense in it. This squad is divided, as seen by those who have been putting in performances this season and publicly expressed their thanks to Mauruicio and staff, and those who haven't done either. Throwing a lot of raw emotion into that mix isn't going to help going forward and could drive deeper divisions into an already unhappy mix...Where did Jan get that shiner?

Of course, I accept that Daniel Levy could have done it out of spite because Mauricio Pochettino wouldn't negotiate on leaving terms and no other motive.....but what's done is done and we need to win tomorrow...and Tuesday. It's all about the next game.

Your flounce-offs are becoming a common occurrence on here, you’re giving HIAG a good run for his money!

The thing is, it is rough that Poch didn’t get to say a proper goodbye and seeing that message hit you right in the feels but as brutal as it was, we had to ensure that the morning after the sacking, Jose got as much time with the players as possible as well as allowing the players to have clear heads.

I’d say if Poch had said his goodbyes in the morning and then Jose took the training session in the afternoon, player’s heads may have been a bit all over the place with emotion.

The way we done it, albeit so harsh, it was the best way to ensure players woke up Wednesday morning and got straight to work with Jose and his staff without any disturbances.

Jose looking keen and relaxed in that press conference.

They were having a chat on the radio saying how most managers would have dragged negotiations till Thursday, turned up Friday and sat out the first game and watched from the stands to get a 'feel' of his new job

Not Jose...trackie on by Wednesday afternoon. Slept at training ground on Wednesday night because he had work to do Thursday morning.

I'm impressed with Jose's attention to the psychological aspect of practices.

Probably a mix of him and Levy I’d imagine, Levy will have wanted **** done to ensure he’s taking charge the following morning and Jose himself will have been itching to get started. It’s also fair to say we all know this deal wasn’t done in the space of roughly 12 hours too.

Jose will have known for days (at least) he was gonna become Spurs manager, the turnover in staff somewhat proves that I’d say because no way do we get deals sorted for Sacramento, Santos, Lalin, Formoshino and Cerra all done once Jose is announced, they too will have been aware of the situation. I imagine it was just dotting I’s and crossing T’s and it’s why the staff slept over at Hotspur Way to then begin immediately in the morning.

Everything he's said so far has been good to hear. Paid respect to Poch, spoken of his intent to merely add details/ tweaks rather than completely change things up, says that if the youth are good enough they’ll get chances and speaks about building us up as winners. Here’s hoping he delivers.
