Hernandez gave some interview in an Italian magazine months ago about wanting to do well here but hoping to move onto bigger clubs and end his career at Palma. So it's not any surprise that he does have other ambitions. However Aston Villa don't really fit into that and I don't see why he would have agreed to it anyway. So this always seemed dead in the water.

Excellent translation !

Yes and I was just pointing out that nobody had.
I think the nearest was me calling him Pope ,

CityMan , with the players fit , there's really no scope for anyone to chop and change the Xl to suit each game - the eleven just about picks itself ,therefor you really have to look at character and desire.
Phelan has managed to get through 4 games with these players giving everything to get over the line - it is the only areawe can judge the manager on right now ,

The task now is to get Hernandez to extend his contract and get him up for it again.
His performance and body language wasn't good yesterday suggesting he was aware the Villa route was closed.

I can't remember how long he has left on his current deal, but turning down £20million will be a bitter pill if he walks away for nowt.
Craig mate, Abel had a near impossible job to do yesterday. We played all out defensively.
He did everything asked of him.

It doesn't matter a **** when it was made. Squadwise we are up the creek without a paddle. The whole team is just about ****ed and it showed yesterday towards the end of the match. Hence Manure getting the goal. That shower of **** where nothing special and we certainly didn't deserve to lose. We frustrated the **** out of them, especially Rooney. I will be surprised if they don't get turned over by Chelsea, Man City and even Arsenal this season. We as a team can not afford to let Henandez go even if we are offered £50 million and the Allams know that would be the final straw and they and their family had better be on the first Learjet out of Humberside Airport if they did sanction the sale.

Yes it does. The comment was its too late to accept a bid for him and I said we don't know when the bid was made. If it was a week ago then it wasn't too late.

Exactly cos of **** ****ng hoof ball football. No wonder he's looking around for the exit.
If we'd played open expansive football against them they would have racked up at least 5 goals. Hope you are not going down the Hat road mate at least your stuff is readable usually, apart from the cringey uncle on holiday stuff that is

Yeah Phelan has had no real dilemmas yet, his choices have been made by circumstances.

All he has shown is he has the backing of the first teamers who will give him 100%. He couldn't have done any more......but is that alone to make him the permanent manager?

I agree he did have a very tough job against United, but when the ball did reach him he just didn't seem to have the same spark as he had against Swansea and Leicester.
Anyway like you say Saturday's game wasn't the best to judge a striker's performance, lets hope he proves me wrong against Burnley.

A loss is a loss is a loss. Just go out and have a go instead of sitting back for 90 minutes inviting pressure on. Taking a CF off for a CB. 2 shots on target all game and you'll never win football matches.

Something along the lines of .. don't let reputations destroy you before you kick a ball... don't have the small team mentality.. stick together, keep your discipline .. don't drop deeper and deeper.. have belief, chances will come. I suppose what I'm getting at Chazz, is this group, in my opinion at least have bought into Phelans approach in a way that I saw only on occasions under SB. As someone has said, its early early days but for now I think the attitude of the group reflects that they believe in him too. All opinion of course.

Except we did drop deeper and deeper. Didnt you notice?
Phelans approach is no different to SB's . You see only what you want to see.
2 shots on target says it all. Taking a CF off for a CB says it all.

Without trying to take any ****ing side in this debate??? At the end of the season it's also on goal difference aswell as points so the one goal manure scored yesterday could be the difference between staying up and going down, yes we could of got 4 or 5 more shots on target and played a more expansive game, but for me, **** it, if the bastards are gonna win, be it by a single goal and in the 92nd min.

I agree with you on the substitution Chazz (ultimately that costs us the goal) it was a shame Snodds had to go off as that for me was a game changer. Less out ball. and in the case of the goal protection of the full back. ... but I think it was a case of being pushed deeper rather than dropping deeper. As you say, all opinion and when he has to select a team is when he'll be counted and that against the likes of Boro, Burnley, WBA, Palace, Watford etc because thats what makes or breaks our season.

Its an ethos. Its why Bmouth Watford etc stayed up last year. Go out and try to win every games. Itdoesnt matter if you lose a few heavily.
Not this hang on hang on hope for the best dropping deeper and deeper, isolating your Cf who's getting more and more ****ed off with it. Then concede in the 90th minute.
