I've got a good warm scarf for walking the dog and a laggy-band that's great for keeping my pencils together.
I think this idea somewhat overestimates the fans in this bracket. They don't care about fans that are against it, for it, or others who are also indifferent. The world doesn't exist outside their 4 walls, their crosswords and their Soaps. Life to them is something to simply trundle through. If you were ever able to tempt one of these personality devoid drones out of their confines, and directly asked them if they would be prepared to do this, expect nothing more than a shrug and a slight exhalation of breath, before they drift off into half-consciousness, thinking about what to have for tea, or what to tape on telly later on. Waste of time.
I have an idea for the pro name change people, at 20:14 during each game, why don't they all sing a hull tigers song in support of the name change? To show Allam how much they want it.
I think the problem with the nct,is that it makes it too easy for people to ignore the problem. If Allam has lied to us, you really should know about it.
The pro name changers don't exist. Its those against the name change. V those who don't see it as such a big deal and / or don't mind either way.
-------- What Rubbish. A) I don't watch ****ty. Soaps.. B ) crossword puzzles ? ( it would have to be an easy one for me ) C) The world does exist outside my home and I get out as much as I can. D). In a simple yes or no vote of season pass holders I would vote no to the name change. E) I prefer Hull City........but Hull Tigers = just a little name change to. me.. I think that's the majority's feelings also. There's loyal fans on both sides. And no doubt people who watch soaps in both camps.. ( boring sods ) Its such a mixture Mr Party..........and people have there views for so many reasons..
I was being deliberately flippant to make a point. Whatever their television or puzzle habits, they're the kind if people who don't think very much is worth fighting for. Except the TV remote. Or the Micro Chips.
----------------------- Hugs I hope you attend loads of brilliant party's and have thousands of great day In the years to come...
Playing the Devils Advocate. Nobody actually knows either way. The fact that AA is a self made millionaire just may give him the advantage.
If we were a marine generator business he would have more than sturdy ground to be calling the shots. Owning a football club is a completely different matter. If I was a self made millionaire in Architecture, I couldn't then go in to a firm of Investment Bankers and start calling the shots and show them my CV for comfort.
Be careful what you wish for, I'd say. AA could ask season pass holders the following question: Would you prefer (a) Me to leave the club and withdraw funding or (b) To accept the name change? He would perhaps get the result he wants and could claim to have consulted the fans. This would strengthen his position vis a vis the FA and quite possibly split the CTWD group. After all, their official position is to support AA's ownership but to oppose the name change. They would have to decide which they wanted more. (or abstain, I suppose).
We want a poll where we get to decide the question and answers. Come on Allam, if you dare. The majority wants to be Hull Tigers, so it's hardly a leap of faith.
Do you think the FA will also ask how he consulted with the supporters, take one look at his evidence of consultation & after laughing their cocks & / or tits off think him a buffoon?
I suppose the FA would ask that. At present though, apart from the infamous meeting, he has no answer to the consultation issue. Were he to pursue the above course he could say he presented a choice of the only available options. Turn it into a poker game as it were. I don't think appearing a buffoon will concern him at this stage. Hasn't that ship already sailed?
The Premier League rules don't just state that the club must consult fans about major decisions, they state that the fans must be consulted on a regular basis about the running of the club. The club has had no FLAG meeting since last summer, so AA is being asked to remedy this.
