If a person or persons were leaking information to the opposition, then it is right and proper that the person or persons be dealt with.
It is also reasonable that if a person or persons from the opposition were to be found asking for such information, that might or might not have an effect on the result, that such person or persons would be dealt with by that opposition club.
If the opposition club has knowledge of this behaviour and fails to act upon it, then it is right and proper that the club who had the information leaked should inform the proper authorities about said matter.
The result should not come into question unless there is doubt as to whether this had an active effect on the result, I don't believe it had, and therefore the spokesman from Cardiff, quoted by WOL, is acknowledging that correct procedure has been followed, assuming Palace knew about the cheat and failed to act upon it.
If the bbc are right, and they claim to have seen the brief? then it is a step too far to ask for the match to be made void.
