Im still having to explain why our strike force is weaker. See previous post in relation to almiron.
Joelinton wipes the floor with Rondon.
Almiron is better than Perez.
You'll soon get on the Joelinton/Almiron love train, and concede you were wrong to think Rondon/Perez are better.
Joelinton isnt proven, so you cannot claim that as absolute and we already had almiron.

Based on what exactly? Don't get me wrong, I'm not Gayles biggest fan he hasn't exactly done it for us in the PL. However, nobody can say with any great deal of confidence or assurance that he wouldn't have scored some of the chances Perez missed last season, nor can anyone say that he may not have scored some of the goals that Perez scored. Two totally different players in my opinion. Gayle is a striker, Perez is not. With the right players around him i'd back Gayle to score more goals than Perez, he's a natural finisher and he knows where the goal is. Perez falls around all the time looking for fouls and generally can't be arsed most of the time, lets just see how things pan out come the end of the season.
I'm not even gonna bother going over your Rondon better than Joe Linton statement, its just plain ****ing stupid to even suggest such a thing. You seem to be saying we would have been better off paying £16m for a player (who wouldn't even have signed for us permanently) rather than paying £40m for a 22 year old hot prospect who's had a decent season in the Bundesliga. Do you walk around at night with a tin foil hat on pointing at the moon and ****? Just curious!!
Almiron is a long way from being proven just yet. It's currently all about potential and is one of several exciting things to look forward to.
I think that if Gayle had been undroppable and played instead of Perez last season, his goal tally would have been greater. Not my favourite player, but a better goal scorer than Perez all day long.

Im hoping we sign at least another striker. Gayle isnt good enough in the prem and i anticipate a sale soon .
Sorry when I said next season I meant not the upcoming season but the one after in the Championship
Ahhh sorry .. well unles we keep longstaff and sign 2 or 3 good players and get lucky with injuries i cant see us not being in a relegation battle thats for sure .
