    So
Completely ignoring everything I say. Human rights, as in the basic right of a human to not be judged for sexuality. Not the “law”. My guess is you are a homophobe. So it’s pointless trying to converse.

“Freedom of speech is a fundamental human right, but Saudi Arabia's regime criminalizes dissent.” (From google)

So no freedom of speech either. Is this a law you support? Or is it just the gay one?

Since the last comment on this post Ajax have played 5 games, winning all 5. Henderson has started 4, missing just the league fixture against Willem ll (easiest). 90 minutes in all four starts. Beat Qarabag in Europa, feyenoord and PSV in the league, giving both Feyenoord and PSV their only league defeat so far this season. To think he’s not good enough for the championship.. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    Absolute leader.

Ajax had a cracking start for sure, and playing well as a team

However that doesn't mean he would be great in the championship. I have zero doubt about his leadership skills but I do worry about his legs these days, the physicality in the championship is night and day to the Eredivisie

I really like the Eredivisie for the technical and tactical battles but it lacks physicality, it's why a lot of Dutch players struggle over here

Henderson will not be leaving them in January imo, his leadership skills are perfect for that Ajax team

He may well do a good job in the championship. Could he do a good job for the team at the top of the league, who have arguably 3 of the best young midfielders improving every week?

My own view is there a significant chance he may well be back in here in Jan. I wouldnt expect him to be good enough to be a starter though, unless one were to leave.

He’s still better than Neil as the 6 now imo. He’s a champions league winning international captain, something Neil will never be. Would bring so much more to the team. Would probably help develop Neil too. I’m stuck between wanting him because I think we’ll be a better team but not wanting to disrupt the development of the lads we have.

I've had another thought about this and although my first reaction was that we've got good midfielders as it is maybe he could be useful but from the bench. Say we're still in the running for promotion in January and fulfill that in May and get promoted, IMO I think we could do with players who have premier league experience. Say he has at least 1 season with us, get someone to play alongside Mepham (if we can get him signed in January as well) and maybe a full back - there's 4 players defensively who's played in the premier league before and something to build on

I dont know if he has the legs to play a 6 like Neil does tbh. Ultimately though we have moved away from short sighted signings thankfully. If Henderson were to come in and Neil sits on the bench I think the downside across the club outweighs the extra on the pitch. Whether folk think Neil is the right captain or not, the fact remains we are top of the league and have fighting mentality we havent seen for a long time. If Neil gets no credit for that it is odd.

The only deal that makes sense re Hendo is if we sell Neil in Jan. That may not be as far off as we would hope tbh. Hendo as a sticking plaster for that move would make some sense.
