I have thought long and hard about posting this today, what with it being a matchday, and really didn't want to put a downer on things.

I know many have followed our situation regarding donating a kidney to my wife, so felt an update was appropriate.

My wife sadly passed away this morning
She's at peace now, and my heart is broken.

Ive had unbelievable support from this forum, and I cant thank you all enough for that.

So sorry to read this mate. I'm gutted for you. Don't worry about putting a downer on here. There are much more important things than football. My deepest condolences to you. We're all here for you, this board is almost like family at times and at times like this we come together to support our own.

Take care and RIP to your wife.

Oh Snaggey, I’m really so sorry to hear this very sad news. I realise nothing anyone can say will make it any easier for yourself and your family but please know that we will all be thinking of you and hopefully our thoughts and prayers will help you through this. Rest in Peace Mrs Snaggey fly free with the angels xx

I cant thank you all enough for your kind and thoughtful words tonight, you have all helped more than you could imagine.

I had stopped alcohol due to the process of donating a kidney, but tonight, my 845 day abstinence came to an end. Ive had a few Guinness and a Glenmorangie...the Mrs would definately approve of this.

My daughter sent me a message tonight, included was the line "if love could have saved her, she would have lived forever".

I love that, just thought it hit home.

From the bottom of my heart, Thank You to each and every one of you.

Prayers for you and your family Snaggey, that you can stay strong and proud for all the love you had with Mrs Snaggey. She was truly loved, as you are by God and all on here. Blessings.

Your unconditional love for your wife came shining through in your posts, there was nothing more that you could do, may she rest in peace.
The most important thing now is to look after yourself, there will be dark days ahead but time is a great healer, just remember to take some time for yourself.
God bless you and give you the strength that you will need.
