I have thought long and hard about posting this today, what with it being a matchday, and really didn't want to put a downer on things.

I know many have followed our situation regarding donating a kidney to my wife, so felt an update was appropriate.

My wife sadly passed away this morning
She's at peace now, and my heart is broken.

Ive had unbelievable support from this forum, and I cant thank you all enough for that.

Mate. Really sorry. The worst will pass over time. Look after yourself in the meantime and stay strong while these difficult weeks are ahead. You’ll be ok x

I just can't think of any words mate, just so sad to see this. You and the family are in my thoughts and I will try to send strength to you all .
If I can do anything, remember I'm just down the road.

Mate, I’m so sorry it has come to this.
Please accept my deepest condolences.
You could have done no more for your wife and your love for her shone through in your posts.
May she rest peacefully and wish you and your family strength. X

Mate, that is so heartbreaking. God Bless her and you're right, she is now at peace.

So sorry to hear this, just try and remember her as the best part of you, as she obviously was. And please remember this place is here for you. It's not much but it's here, and everyone is on your side.

Mate I am absolutely gutted. You have all my thoughts and prayers and I'm sure not only this board but the whole of our Sunderland family.

It is hard but at least as you said she is at peace.
