Right Chunks, out of respect to you, as a good supporter/poster, I've waded through forty pages of a thread I mainly kept off as I found many of the comments to be sickening ... not how I see people from the NE and their reputation for fairness and hospitality. I've no problem with my posts which were trying to calm things down, not stir them up.
Take a look, they're quite benign.

I have to accept you're right in that there were 5 or 6 posters who posted much more, than you, and were ten times as negative and abusive. I shouldn't have lumped you in with them so I do sincerely apologise for that error. In my defence I'd seen exactly the same comments posted on multiple threads and repeated over and over on this one which was really tedious.

Whether people realise or not they were basically, from the start, calling other people thick* as below, simply for saying we should be a little more patient, The comments were that people were 'slow to learn' 'ill advised' 'clueless' or 'blind' but, basically, making them out to be less intelligent. Yet they seem horrified if people take offence and react. Believe me, I've read every post today, so that's the pattern ... although I'm sure some will deny it, fair enough. I've quoted the post, of yours, that really wound me up ... no apology for that, I could never agree with us losing games.

I also don't believe it's unfair to remind people of their own words, we're all responsible for what we say and it stays on the forum. If people are unhappy with what they've posted they could always apologise, as I've just done. I think it's unreasonable for people to post something then complain if it's quoted, even weeks later. People showing optimism and getting 'Told you so' responses, if it goes badly, are just as entitled to respond in kind.

Hope that rambling sack makes sense, big hangover after Murrayfield and our match, the apology is genuine. I could've sent a private message but I'd prefer to humble myself on here.
Very decent of you to apologise, I have made comments on other threads about the off field issues, which come from frustration of us wanting to be the best off and on the field.

You might want to read the post again that wound you up, a small but subtle difference in name of poster :emoticon-0100-smile

An ex rangers player told me his training was unreal and the players loved the training. Said hes a really nice guy as well, he personally didnt think he was cut out for being a head coach at that time. Cant mind exactly what he said but it was something like 'rangers was far too big a step for him at that stage, itll make or break him as a manager. Not sure he will be a head coach but hes a quality coach, training is class'

He seems to be learning quickly while hes been here, im already seeing massive improvements in him as a head coach in his short time with us - long may it continue. Not sure ive ever wanted a manager to succeed at us as much as i am with beale
About time we have a coach for 3 seasons. Would love it to be this lad. I can see every reason in his track record to think he is the man, if we back him. Honestly think he matches up with us.

Pleased to see this mate. @Chunksafc comes across as a top poster to me. Love his branch bus stuff, had my time on one.

I say this often, chances are we meet in a boozer and it is a love in. We all want the same thing.
Very decent of you to say mate. I do love the branch, a really decent crowd and trying it's hardest to keep it affordable and encourage the younger members to keep supporting us

<laugh>

That might well explain a lot of things <doh>

Big deep breaths and hold it for a few seconds, if you can. It helps.

Intercostals are absolute pigs.
I'm considering a bullet, between this, a cough that won't die, blocked sinuses which have blocked my ears and generally feeling full.of cold, it's been a 4 weeks to forget

I would honestly say 95% of us didn't want Beale, I stated on this thread the real reason I was against him was because I didn't have a clue who he was, never heard of him so didn't really fill me with much enthusiasm.
I also stated that in his first 5-6 games nothing was really seeming to change from the mundane, predictable slog we had ended up watching under Mowbray.
I have also stated that in the last few games I have seen a massive change in the way we have set up and looked so much better.
I will admit I didn't have much hope that he was the man for the job, my opinion is changing quite rapidly.
However what I didn't do was state from day one he would be a failure, non of us knew this. It was also relentless everyday of posters stating as fact that Beale would have been sacked after 10 games that he was utter ****, couldn't be a head coach.
It amazed me how certain they were when they really didn't have a clue how well he would do.
I'm actually warming to the bloke even more for how he has just carried on his way no matter how much abuse was been thrown his way.
I also don't understand the hatred from some towards the owner who has us in the best position we've been in for years and if the fair play laws come in as suggested we are years infront of others at being self sufficient

That's the only part of your post I'd disagree with mate.

I'd say 5% of the support was screaming so loudly another 10% were carried along by it and the other 85% just wanted to see how he was. I find it amazing that the some of the same people, who said Beale didn't have enough management experience, wanted Dodds who has none.

Screaming in public is contagious, apparently.

I should maybes said he wouldn't have been the choice of 95% of us rather than not wanted

We booked our hotel yesterday ...

... free cancellation but it still feels like a commitment.

My Liverpool supporting mate, who loads on here met before the Wycombe match, has started asking about a ticket <laugh>
I’m gonna look seriously next week, if you don’t speculate you don’t accumulate

Don't make me laugh, I've pulled a muscle near ribs coughing and its bloody agony

I damaged an intercostal muscle hoying rubble into a skip and ended up in A&E, I thought I was having a heart attack. Felt a bit daft when it turned out it was just a muscle tweak but the level of pain and proximity to the heart was a worry.

As Exile says deep (as deep as you can) breathing helps the discomfort and also helps prevent it. Since my little incident I've incorporated deep breathing into my pre weights warm up and no issues since.

I suffer from rinusitis, have done for years. But not so much now. I started flushing my nostrils several times a day with Athomer Sterile Isotonic Sea Water about 6 months ago and now follow it with a couple of squirts of Beconase at bed-time. Most nasal sprays end up making the problem worse, but not Beconase. I now have clear nostrils during the day and in bed. Just a suggestion if you have not already tried it.

I thought he was just waiting for the sack after the Hull game and the press conference that got some people's backs up when he talked about outside noise, usually on borrowed time when you start having a dig at the fans.
He's done well the last few games and improvements have been evident compared to his first few games which didn't look to have much improvement on Mowbray.
3 unbeaten now, and games coming up where we could put a good run together
