His first resonse is spot on. Some fans didnt want him before he had a training session. Some will never want him ever. Ring any bells?

It is embarassing the way some fans have gone on. Like little bairns not getting their sweets so start calling him names.

In my family Sunderland whatsapp not a single one have bleated on about him. We critique the games, but nobody is so imbalanced like some on here. It really is maddening to me. Get Mowbray out because he has ran out of ideas - bollocks! Get Beale gone because I dont like him - bollocks.

And as for the podcast lot. Have tried them this week. They havent got an opinion worth the name in my opinion.

As an exile, let me tell everyone something, fans from lower down the pyramid are laughing at our fans for the reaction and behaviour of the minority. Genuinely we look awful from the outside.

Alright mate - yeah some didn't want him. Me included. That's the nature of football management , some will want you some won't. That said, I did say in the 18th December that my worry will be how he interacts with fans , pre and post match and it will enrage alot of fans. I feel this is playing out exactly like that.

One week the players are not at the levels, and harsh lessons. Then it's love the team, they are doing everything they can. Then it's the fans, need to support more, then it's he doesn't listen to outside noise.

Inside = players and staff
Outside = fans and media etc....

The first question from Nick Barnes had no class.

Were you one of the die hard loyal fans that booed him after 50 minutes V Cov?

Edit: and then ****ing deserted as the 3rd went in

I don't think he speaks well to the media at all to be honest fella. Really don't.

Re cov - don't recall doing so.

... so your actual knowledge of the various atmospheres, at Sunderland, is fairly limited.

What period does it cover?

Not quite sure where your going with this, do you want my attending games history? How often i spoke to family or friends who attended games?

I couldn't care less what supporters of other teams think. I care about Sunderland and its progression.

Supporters who sit and say nothing, or actively attack other supporters because they think they're helping the club get what they deserve.

And how, exactly, does how much you care actually affect anything other than your own ego?

And, if you know exactly what's wrong, do you know exactly what the club should be doing.

Take your time, no rush.

Huge difference between critical and giving him loads of personal abuse and **** from day one.

The team was already struggling to score goals, defence was all over at times and playing a brad of football that's only geared up for the wingers to be the glory boys.

Agree as well outside noise to me is EVERYTHING happening outside the teams bubble.

People are just looking for more ways to be outraged.

I’m not saying that. We all care, we all want what is best for Sunderland. Right now it’s a mess.
 
So, I've just sat and watched Michael Beales presser from today.

The first actual set of questions purely about football wasn't until around 7:45. Up until then the questions put forward by the media were absolute ****e. Labled sarcastic because he's must have been asked umpteen times about not being liked. I feel the "Crisis" comment was aimed at the doom and gloom "Reporter" that's started the interview banging on about social media and not at the wider fan base. The media smell blood and they're looking for a headline.
He gave facts and it's crystal clear he knows we need fire power up front.

Beale didn't want to divert and brought every ****e question back to football focus (not the show).

One thing I'd question is the need he feels to protect the young players, he doesn't need to do that as the fans know the score.

I'm struggling to see what the problem is with that interview?

All of the above, once again is in my opinion.

ps, I myself have said about probably never warming to him, however, I'm not one to go with the flow when I see what's in front of my face. Absolutely everyone has their right to an opinion, but at the minute, it's trendy to be against Beale... much like fans that were called mugs for still going to the games during double dip relegation where its was "cool" not to go. Each to their own.

See I get that, but, sadly, I disagree. You know the score, I know the score, certain fans on here know the score, but the 8 big lads who sit behind me and make a **** load of noise when things go wrong, don’t give a flying **** about the young players. Those shouting for his head last week much the same.

Literally calling a 19 year old for missing a chance. Slagging young players for a cross or meeting an attacker (including Clarke btw). I want to take umbrage with them, but I’m 5’ 6” Snd 11 and a half stone! They look like the type who would literally fight with their own fans if they disagreed! Just not worth it.

I hate it. I hate negativity at games from fans, it dies no one any good. I see how badly we’re playing, I still try to get behind the team. But it’s a forlorn task.
