I've no idea. I just heard on here a couple of weeks back that sales were very low. I cannot imagine that there are Any good reasons for people to sign up in great numbers based on the last couple of weeks, so assumed it would still be low.
The figure 500 was banded around for the number of memberships returned when Bruce left.
That in itself should be an effective protest, but will have fallen on the deafest ears in football.
Mooney tweeted that the reported 459 cancelled memberships was rubbish and it was much less than that.
There's over 18,000 members/corporate/away tickets before match day ticket sales even start and it's the season opener against last seasons champions, it will be over 20,000 and won't look like a poor turn-out.
I cancelled my membership - via e mail. Then was away on holiday for a week, got back to find my membership pack and a letter from Moon Head that I had to give notice in writing (3 Months).
Given that I signed up early to avoid the joining fee and have paid 2 months instalments, yet people are joining now and not paying a joining fee and are therefore 2 months better off, I'm just going to put in writing telling them to stick it, and cancel my DD.

Fair enough. Considering the Wembley attendance, that surprises me. Looks like an in ground protest is the way forward. My best suggestion is a mass walkout at some point in the game, let's say after Leicester's 5th goal....in all seriousness, it was good publicity for the Liverpool fans and got a u turn from the club on prices. Not that I think for one minute we will get such a reasoned response from the Allams, but good publicity for the fans.a
Let's see if we continue getting 20k plus after a few games getting hammered by all and sundry. Any early misguided optimism will no doubt have well and truly disappeared by then.
Apologies if this has already been suggested; the best visual protest was the tennis ball protest at Bolton.

Just to combine a couple of the ideas on here, perhaps the red cards could have a shoe printed on them. Then we don't have to get our socks dirty.

As far as I understand it was the St Andrews club before, and changed recently to this name.
Didn't they say we can cancel when we want with only one month's notice when they went on sale?
2 months notice was the official quote.

Bugger, we started using that on match days last season. Sells real ales but more importantly could get served quickly. Guess that'll change.
You can still watch the games you've paid for, it's only after the cancellation period has expired that your membership expires, otherwise it's illegal.
I know we want to protest but we have to give the players our support. They are up against it from the start and they need to know that we are behind them 100% and the same with whoever is the Manager. Whatever the planned protest is can it please be done before, at half time or at the end of the match. Never before has it been so important to sing loud and proud and try to be the 12th man cos the players are gonna need it, and lets hope Hernandez is still here and continues the way he has started in the pre season games.
Might have already been mentioned on another post but I'm seeing a few people are getting in touch with trading standards about the membership scheme. Basically if one person signed up in June and another signed up beginning of August, then one would potentially pay 2 months more then the person who joined in August for exactly the same thing!!! How can the club get away with that???
