Will "any" form of protest actually achieve anything whatsoever?

What is the protest about? Do you think the Allams will be bothered?

Go on then, offer suggestions on this thread - currently the place for them.

It was more for discussion, but okay, I'll chuck in one I raised before. No doubt it'll get taken as a mission statement, rather than a starter for thought, but there it is.

The red card thing works for getting people involved, but it didn't change the outcome of the membership scheme. It's purpose is more to show that people want a change. So I don't have a problem in that respect.

What I do feel is that things like that are limited, and unlkely to create a change in themselves. It needs approaching from several angles and an important part of that is opening up as many ways as possible for fans to discuss any options without it just becoming a playground.

One is to look for ways that we as fans can make the club attractive to buyers. Showing positive unity and passion is one way that the energy created by the protests can be channelled, which would give it more popular support. That could be just by helping groups of fans create an atmosphere.

That doesn't need the club's involvement. Fans doing things despite the Allams will show them as irrelevant. Ignoring them, or ridiculing them will be more effective than confrontation, can be more fun, and more inclusive.

The successes we've seen, have pretty much all been ultimately down to the Prem/fl's rule book. We need more consideration to having rules enforced, or changed.

Another option is to either look for a buyer, or look to ways that fans could buy the club.

See there's the rub. People don't just scroll past, some seem to do whatever they can to prevent such discussions each time they crop up.

I've offered plenty of suggestions in other threads. If the discussions didn't keep getting diverted to silly Allamesqe personal nonsense, maybe more could come out.

Surely, we all went the best for the club? More ideas have to be better than none.

What the fucķ are you on about man?

Of course we slate the Allams, they're ****s and we want rid of them.

We want the Allams gone almost as much as you want OLM gone.

Honestly Dutch, read the ****ing posts on here and everywhere else.

We just want the Allams out of our club.

Which part of that don't you understand?

Where have I said any different?

What I'm saying is that there are additional ways of doing it. I'm not even saying don't do as the trust suggested.

Why adding ideas to achieve your goal is a problem to some is the real mystery.

Which is fine but how do you achieve that. I and others were getting called for going to the leicester game. Now everyones getting excited about the in ground protests planned.

There has been some **** thrown at fans who've signed up to the membership scheme and I don't agree with that at all.

Everyone should be free to make up their own minds on what they feel is the best way forward.

I'd never call anyone for doing what they feel is best for them.

Dad's and Mams won't want to let the kids down etc...

It's a very difficult situation we find ourselves in.

I just want the Allams gone Chazz.

For me and I believe for most fans now, this is the only issue.

I'd say 90-95% of us want them out now.

I dont want to put words in Dutchs mouth but i think what he's getting at is people just come on here and let off a bit of steam saying, The Allams just **** off now ****s!!. It doesnt achieve anything does it.

Dutch keeps asking is there anything else. Personally i think a half emtpy stadium just looks to others as we are small time. They might say oh ye you got bad owners but will wonder about why so many have given up.
A full stadium united in a protest sends a more unified message. IMHO

I tend to agree with this. I can't bring myself to join the scheme. Not because it's giving the owners money, but because I feel so strongly it's wrong.

I'm still not sure if I can buy tickets on a match by match basis without signing up to owt. That's my current preferred option.
