All kinds of nationalities tbh, mostly Americans and British, some Chinese.

The places they were snapping and filming all have fantastic websites with dozens of beautiful photos ...

... but they obviously didn't want the photos for themselves, it was to put on social media so everyone could see them obscuring one beauty spot after another <laugh>

We were in Langkawi a few years ago when a flock of Japanese tourists came running over towards me with my wife pissing herself laughing in the background.

1/2 hour later they'd finished taking their photo's with me. Apparently i was their "lucky Aussie" so they needed to have a photo. Didn't have the heart to tell them that i was English and that my wife was the Aussie, although in hindsight maybe i should have.

I always thought all day opening would cripple pubs.

For many, especially more rural ones, it's roughly the same custom spread out more ...

... which means employing staff longer and burning electricity all day.

Food is kept hot all day which bakes the taste out of it and people don't congregate as they used to.

One of the pleasures of away games was calling into a pub on the way. There'd be local lasses behind the bar who'd be there the following season and a landlord who could tell you the best way, where to park and have a bit of banter.

You now have a relief manager, who's been shipped from another area, and Romanian bar staff who don't know what county they're in.

Thought the whole point was the relaxation of rules and pubs could open and close when they wanted during a certain time period.
Having said that a lot of managed houses are hamstrung and desperate for any trade it takes a brave operator to limit opening hours

I rented a chainsaw that had a sticker on the blade that said,
"Do not attempt to stop the blade with your hand."

The lad explained that someone had sued them <doh>

The hotel we're in has a sticker on the hot tap saying,
    "Caution, water may be hot."

That brings back some memories, used to love The Old 29. Beer was great and sometimes the music was brilliant, always had a good crowd in as well.

I've seen that before and pretty much sums up modern society for me.
Recently my condenser dryer element went.
Could I fook find the part to the point one parts supplier emailed me back to say this particular manufacturer is terrible for parts and I should complain lol.
So much for all the government's bullshìt of recycling and save the planet.
    Most things are throw away.
The abs pump on my car is a sealed unit and expensive yet is probably just sticking brushes or a dry joint.
Ok it can be drilled out etc but why not make it accessible in the first place.
The son in-laws thermal cut out went on his car heater unit, vauxhall quoted him hundreds of pounds to rip the unit out and supply a new one.
I got a thermal fuse from maplins for 50p/£1 and soldered it in.
Absolute joke, but the best is some people look at you like you've just stepped off the starship enterprise when you say you're going to try and fix something.

It was fantastic in there mate. Real spit and sawdust and the acoustics were brilliant. To be fair, I saw some excellent bands on there.
