So , two weeks without the distraction of a match and still Mike Phelan hasn't been appointed and no news about new owners. The only rumours are about Steve Bruce taking more of our coaching staff. I feel as likely to read that Phelan has had enough as to read that he's been appointed. And yet its very quiet on here. Has Ehab Allam's nonsense finally ground us down into resigned indifference? Not sure what I'm suggesting but the level of anger and protest does seem to have dropped.

Don't think he's actively 'grinding' as that would mean he is actually doing something. In reality he appears to have zero interest in the football club other than as an investment chip which he is trying to pimp out to the highest bidder.
In the meantime, the actual day to day running of the club, the leadership, the energy, the vision, the drive, the desire to push the forward club, to engage with the fanbase and region, to build the size of the club, to inspire loyalty and passion, and to communicate enthusiasm through a critical but golden era for the club.......

This about sums it up for most I think. They're not doing anything & if it all goes tits up, then Ehab is going to lose a lot of money & will look like a prize ****. He'll be running round like a headless chicken if that's the case trying to get something for his prized pumpkin in May! His pumpkin will have rotted to nothing & he will have **** all to bargain with.
I can imagine AA being very pissed off with him if that's the case. That's if he's well enough to be pissed off with him, I can't imagine this mess will be helping his health any.

I stated last week that it seems that many have been ground down, I have, ground down, bored and thoroughly disheartened by the whole disgraceful farce surrounding the situation at OUR football club. The current guardians are a shocking example of what can happen when what turn out to be the wrong sort of people are entrusted with a spell of ownership. Sadly, you never know at the outset how things will pan out though.
I thought about this last night, as I was thinking about whether I had fallen out of love with football or just got so annoyed with negativity around the club. I think due to a number of reasons there has been a lot of negative football around the club: Name Change, Price increases, removal of concessions, Steve Bruce leaving, dour football for a number of years, lack of atmosphere at the ground. This has all had an impact which has meant going to City has become more of a chore than a passion.
We really need some positivity in the club, we need new owners, one's who are going to just provide some positivity. We either need to appoint Mike Phelan or another manager who can bring some energy into the club.
Hopefully we can start focusing on the football soon(Which in my eyes is as dour now as it has been in previous years, admittedly the run of fixtures has been hard) as this is the only way the atmosphere around the club is going to improve.

Regardless of the Allams or anbody else, some responsibility needs to be accepted by the fanbase (or at least those supporters who have stopped going).

They havnt ground me down. My answer is just not to go until they sell up. The club is currently not the one I have supported all my life. Its like taking a holiday. They will be gone one day and then I will return.
One thing that wont happen as far as I am concerned and that is reading posts like this. We have freedom of choice in this country and I have made use of this by not going to home games. It is a self imposed exile and the choice is simply mine and mine alone. I don't need any one like you telling me that I am wrong and should return to the fold. My gripe is with the owners and what they have done to the fan base. I havnt bawled out the fans that continue to go to home games. I respect their choice but seemingly you like to deride those like me who have the opposite view. Get a grip mate, we all make choices that are right for ourselves.
