But it was Puel asked for the recall in January with promises of involvement, Barnes didn't want to return as he was playing regularly. Hopefully a full season at a championship club will give him the opportunity to develop, not something he'll get on our bench.
 
It was strange to recall him last year and then never use him

Whatever happens leave him at West Brom. Get him back in the summer and then work out where he is then with his development. Is he ready for us or does he need another year in the championship

Did we sign him to a new long contract recently does anyone know?

Personally I don’t think West Brom will go up this year, but if they do a season in the premiership with a team playing to his strengths could do him the world of good

He signed a new deal the day he signed for West Brom

Agree, same with Benkovic, have 2 players back next season with great confidence, hopefully Benkovic becomes a regular, i've kept an eye on Celtic and this seems like the first time hes started, maybe im wrong.
