He has signed a new 4 year contract and signed on loan for West Brom for the season

Great move for the lad

He’s had a great start to the season. Similar to Maddison in a way, obviously he needs to be consistent throughout the season but just think we could have a player that if he does that will be worth at least 25mill (not taking into account next summers undoubted increase in prices even further) walk straight into our team!

I hope he can keep improving and impressing, the 7-1 scoreline seems like a false marker though seeming QPR then got dicked 3-0 at home to Bristol.

He is a left winger - is the reason why he out on loan as we currently have too many ahead of him.
I’d disagree. First choice sub for any of our 3 behind Vardy given that by the looks of it he can play left or central, but albrighton can play either side, Gray any 3 and Maddison middle but often replaced

Barnes is definitely one to keep for the future. Looks good on the left and a real goal threat. If he could grow six inches this year while on loan he could be a star next season for us.

It does look like he is comfortable anywhere across the front line so his flexibility could be useful. If he carries on as he is, he’ll be the Maddison of next summer but already ours. Great to think

Unfortunately for you Puel is in charge and thinks otherwise which is why he has been sent out on loan.

Best to give him a full season at a club looking to get promotion, will be better than a few sub appearances off our bench, no doubt he'd be recalled if there was a long term injury to one of the guys behind Vardy.

Only got a 5 rating last night, didn't watch it and sounds like WBA were generally terrible though.

When he was on loan at MK a few seasons back he was immense.

Played off the left but could roam all across the pitch to get involved.

Scored some cracking goals too.

Always kept up on him ever since.

Could be a case that he goes missing sometimes, no one really knows yet. If that is the case, a long hard season in the physical championship will do him the world of good

TBF - he looked half decent (hence the 5) - Brunt looked really poor and I was amazed that they took him off and kept some of the others on
