I think that it's totally made up.
Just another bullshit story in the Fail's attempt to create a move for Modric.
They've done a story about him moving every day for a month, so they'll look even more stupid than they already do, if it doesn't happen.

Totally agree. Whatever that slimy Russian twat is paying these "journalists" at the Fail to keep this bollocks in the news, it must be a tidy sum. It won't do them, or him, any good. The Chavs won't get Modric - And The Fail will just look more stupid than they already do, for persisting with this crap.
 
Do you really think the two would go public if they disagreed? The only time to believe transfer stories in the fail is when; a. The new player has his picture taken with Harry in a Spurs shirt. (The player not harry) b.One of our players is doing the same with another manager.
 
I actually don't believe Modric will go in this window. He said he'd move if it was good for him and for the club, I think it'd be easy for Levy and Harry to explain how it would be very bad for the club to sell him at this point. Come to think of it, I don't really believe they are split as this article suggests.

How would we attract the players we want without him and champions league?

I'm guessing that in the minds of prospective player, our hopes of a top four finish are dependent of players like Modric staying in the team.

If Adebayor, Diarra and Samba come in, or we reinforce these positions with players of similar quality, we begin to look strong in comparison to all 4th place contenders. I believe Levy has learnt from the Berbatov and Carrick sagas and won't repeat similar errors. There really is no current need to sell Modric.
