I actually don't believe Modric will go in this window. He said he'd move if it was good for him and for the club, I think it'd be easy for Levy and Harry to explain how it would be very bad for the club to sell him at this point. Come to think of it, I don't really believe they are split as this article suggests. How would we attract the players we want without him and champions league? I'm guessing that in the minds of prospective player, our hopes of a top four finish are dependent of players like Modric staying in the team.
