Fair point, especially with all those EFL Cup-winning managers kicking around, desperate to join a league one club sitting outside the playoff places for tiny wages. Not sure why we didn't just get one of them in

I remember us appointing an up and coming/journeyman (depending upon your mindset) young (early 40s) manager, a while back, he'd been at 5 lower league clubs, won (don't laugh) an Anglo Italian cup, but bugger all else.
It was 1972.
