Just a bit of fun for @wearside wanderer II - post your favourite happy clapper moments or anything average or even something about our new manager to be I'll start: Look at those averages RA RA RA
Worra load o ****e, bring back Parky. Bigging the players up and talking tactics isn’t what’s needed Sack him now.
And it is going to be a bang-average joy to think of them puking their guts when they are made to run more than 5 yards at a time. Perhaps the slipstream might even fan those dying Grigg embers back into the legendary flames I've heard sung about.
Anyone able to show me a picture of the celebrations from his achievements as a manger? I mean like getting to a final, even a semi final or.......... ‘stand by your beds’ a promotion. I’ll wait
Cheers for that, really enjoyed it. It’s not everyday that Trevor Francis comes up to you and has to introduce himself. Lol. I wonder how many people would not recognise him
Not officially but Sky Sports News said he was expected to be announced as new Sunderland manager within next 24 hours https://www.skysports.com/football/...t-lee-johnson-as-manager-within-next-24-hours
That's a decent, optimism inspiring article methinks. I'm in two minds about the guy but there does seem to be some strong upsides.
I remember us appointing an up and coming/journeyman (depending upon your mindset) young (early 40s) manager, a while back, he'd been at 5 lower league clubs, won (don't laugh) an Anglo Italian cup, but bugger all else. It was 1972. Just saying.
I I made similar points about the last manager we poached from St Mirren....it didn't work out so well
I doubt we would be anywhere near where we are today, not meaning the league, meaning the potential, without what Stokoe did. He set the place on fire again, what a pity the team was dismembered and we never kicked on
please log in to view this image There ya go mate, that's from when his Bristol City side beat Man United in the quarter finals of the EFL Cup to get to the semis, as requested. Didn't have to wait too long did you
