So being slap bang half way through the season, what are we ranking the new faces on what we've seen so far? Is it straight to the top of the class, or could do better?

Here's my view (and therefore the only correct one)

Spors. C-
One great appointment, some ok and one really ****. Middle of the road for me, he's not our saviour but he hasn't totally ****ed it up either. The appointment of WS makes it a C- rather than a C+

Roerslev. C-
Looked OK for one game, looked crap in another. Went and got himself injured which is indicative of a lazy personality in my book.

Jander. B.
Happy with him. Looks nice and composed on the ball. Needs a haircut, its not 1992

Azaz C.
On his day great but goes AWOL way too frequently. His surname annoys me as he sounds like a baddie from Aladdin

Fellows B+
Nice, competent player. Some lovely touches on the ball, gets kicked all over the place most weeks. Great signing.

Quarshie C-
A little all over the place at times. Will play well and then snatch a defeat from the jaws of victory. A little all over the place, he's very much SFC in person form.

Damion Downs. F
The poor lad is ****. Complete waste of money.

Leo Scienza A
The lads class. Absolute class. Love him.

Not signing a decent keeper, or a reliable striker, is enough to knock the overall score down a fair few notches.

Agree with pretty much all of this bar Quarshie and Spors. Maybe a C+/ B for both...

For Spors, 3 good signings in a window is a decent return and we shifted a lot of dead wood giving us a better platform for next summer.

Quarshie was signed as a raw talented player and that is what he has been. And I think was our best CB against Cov so is getting better over time.

I'd be really interested to see if he's given any funds in the Jan window and what he'll do with them. Perhaps too harsh to judge him on the summer window alone.

I think the next 3 games will really shape our Jan tbh. 3 tough games on paper and if we only pick up max a couple of points I don’t think we’ll be very active as we will need to have a real fire sale in the summer. Get 7 points+ then that may persuade SR to try and get a couple in to try and get us up

Over 50% of new signings for any club in the world, be it us, Real Madrid, Liverpool, PSG, whoever play less than 50% of the games at their new clubs. Recruitment is really ****ing hard, so the fact there's only one dud so far means he's done a good job by any realistic metric.

Against expectations at the start - D-

Against where we were a couple of months ago - B

I am generously giving the benefit of the doubt after the Oxford game though, because I wanted to give a U.

The majority of the signings are proving to be good ones but i'm still not sure that we are getting the best out of them. I believe that Fellows, Azaz and Leo should be in a 3 just behind the striker but we have still not seen that line up yet.
Tonda has said that he wants physicality on the pitch and that's why he starts 3 CBs not because we don't have a fit RB and I fully expect him to keep playing 5 at the back.
I don't have an issue with that in tougher matches even if we may concede the midfield but when we are playing against a low block with the oppo sitting in or we are facing 10 men then the extra midfielder would give us an advantage I feel.
I accused Will Still of being safety first but recently i've seen similar traits with Tonda. I really hope that he changes and goes for it a bit more in the more winnable games and it's not as if 3 CBs is gaining us clean sheets or making us defend set-pieces better anyway.

Spors is a solid B for me as are the signings with Leo an A, Jander and Fellows a B+. Downs obviouly is a D but could still improve.
