At the risk of perpetuating this ridiculous thread I am surprised that billy didn't get a single like for this post despite the fact that Marriane Faithful famously wore a scarf (albeit not a half-and-half)That reminds me of one of my old flames.

You're not really George Melly reborn, eh St.G? Or Malcolm Allison?
The problem with a half and half is that it makes it longer than a normal one and adds to the following syndrome:

If you are in Brecon next Thursday and a ****ing Tory twat wins then you know what to do. You owe it to your fellow countrymen.

I refuse to contribute to this unnecessary thread but whilst writing would comment that I dislike the way some men attempt to achieve a nonchalant loop to their multi-coloured scarf in order to achieve a casual thrown-it-on affectation when they have clearly been posing in front of the mirror for a considerable time before venturing out.
I would actually like to be able to wear a scarf nonchalantly...I envy those that can. Never mastered it, so never wear scarves. I always manage to make soft flowing scarves look like they are made out of Lego...all edges and corners.
You'd think I'd master it after being on Earth for exactly 69 years today![]()

It's peculiar, but if I see a woman wearing a particularly long scarf, I think of that.Isadora Duncan wore a scarf with the consequence she lost her life.

For those not familiar with the history, Isadora Duncan was an acclaimed dancer, and she was wearing a long scarf in the back of a car while it was going along, and the scarf became entangled in the road wheel and strangled her. Not nice at all.
Update: And because it was an open top car she was pulled from it and her neck broke. Blimey, it gets worse.
Yeah, seems to have been one of those one in a thousand happenings. But all the ingredients were in place. The car was open top. She was seated in the back on one side. The wheels were apparently open spoked. She was wearing this billowing very long scarf.Blimey that's a long scarf ... I thought it was the drive shaft
