At the risk of perpetuating this ridiculous thread I am surprised that billy didn't get a single like for this post despite the fact that Marriane Faithful famously wore a scarf (albeit not a half-and-half)
I thought Godders May have suggested this chap for a scarf wearer, following his recommendation of the man. I always pictured him with one:
The problem with a half and half is that it makes it longer than a normal one and adds to the following syndrome: https://www.omicsonline.org/open-ac...to-long-scarf-2380-5439-1000162.php?aid=69128
I would actually like to be able to wear a scarf nonchalantly...I envy those that can. Never mastered it, so never wear scarves. I always manage to make soft flowing scarves look like they are made out of Lego...all edges and corners. You'd think I'd master it after being on Earth for exactly 69 years today
Many happy returns of the Day Fran...... Hope you have a very special day.........I'd do it in blue but that would look awful....... But there again what do I care you would only say I was insulting you!
Happy Birthday Fran Just think you are not that old...the earth may have lapped the Sun 69 times since you were born....but it has done it approximately 4 billion times before.
It's peculiar, but if I see a woman wearing a particularly long scarf, I think of that. For those not familiar with the history, Isadora Duncan was an acclaimed dancer, and she was wearing a long scarf in the back of a car while it was going along, and the scarf became entangled in the road wheel and strangled her. Not nice at all. Update: And because it was an open top car she was pulled from it and her neck broke. Blimey, it gets worse.
Blimey that's a long scarf ... I thought it was the drive shaft This looks risky too ... please log in to view this image
Yeah, seems to have been one of those one in a thousand happenings. But all the ingredients were in place. The car was open top. She was seated in the back on one side. The wheels were apparently open spoked. She was wearing this billowing very long scarf. They made a movie of it donkey's years ago, and I have a memory as a kid of watching the bit on the TV where she's sitting in the car driving off, and my Dad tells me how she gets killed. That's pretty much why I remember the whole thing.
