The Sun's Shaun Custis says Tottenham Hotspur and England midfielder Eric Dier is 'limited', and 'maybe being told he's better than he actually is.'

'There are certain players I like to call 'the broadsheets' friend'. They are lauded perhaps before their time,' Custis told 5 Live Sport.

There are certain hacks for Rupert Murdoch's hate comic who spout such drivel that I like to suggest that switching the third letter of their surname for the letter "n" is perfectly justifiable, especially because somebody has been telling them that their worthless opinion is worth more than it actually is...

In today's feeble example of "content" Sportskeedia have run an article that is literally a bunch of tweets from Arsenal fans saying how **** Spurs are because some Goon on Twitter - and not a reliable or credible journalist - said Thomas Lemar would prefer to head to the Europa League end of Seven Sisters Road.

Something tells me I should bookmark this other tweet by the same "source"...

I'm sure Lee Champman will be ecstatic. <whistle>

Add to that the idea that Trippier signing a new contract automatically means Walker is leaving.

Remind me, when Vorm signed his contract extension back in December, did Lloris leave during the January transfer window?

According to a publication called 'Don Balon' we are going to sell Dele Alli to Chelsea for £88m, the same price as Chelsea are going to pay for the far less talented Romelu Lukaku.

It would probably have been a better idea to ask Don Masson.

Sky Bet have announced us as the favourites to sign Joel Veltman, Max Meyer and Josh King.

Luckily there is no media empire attached to Sky Bet that can be used to try and convince punters to part with their cash thinking these are a sure thing, which may or may not come back to bite them when it turns out Sky Bet made the whole thing up to rinse people of their hard-earned...

Some sites, and even some papers, are using this tweet as proof that we're re-signing Gylfi Sigurdsson

I guess this means we're also re-signing Ryan Mason then...

There's some bad blood building up between Everton and Spurs. They didn't like the Moussa Sissoko transfer being taken away from them last summer. There's been conjecture that we might have had some interest in Sandro Ramirez and Michael Keane. Then, there's the Elephant in the (changing) room, Ross Barkley.

Now, it's being put out that Everton could be interested in potential Spurs target Josh King. Could it be that we're firing a shot across their bow? If you get in the way on King and drive the price up, then we'll do the same on Sigurdsson for you. Back off and we both get what we want cheaper. Maybe the Barkley move is dead if things are getting to Spurs v Chelsea proportions. Everton's new investor is out of the Abramovic and Usmanov school of business and could 'go to the mattresses' to show his intent.
