Plenty of blogs putting two and two together and thinking that Griezmann's snub of Barca means they'll turn their attention to Christian Eriksen Has somebody explained to them that there's no logical way to make a comparison between the two, as Griezmann is a centre forward while Eriksen is an attacking midfielder?
https://www.101greatgoals.com/news/man-united-tottenham-not-discussions-alderweireld/ Does that mean that Man Utd have accepted the 75m asking price ?? If so, get that fake Ewoo Woowoo signature on the cheque now Matth.
Why do you struggle so much to answer the key question rather than engaging in pedantry ?? < rhetorical question >
Bit of a stupid question really, the article clearly states we are not negotiating so I assume we have told Levy to **** off and keep him on your payroll. Why would you think it meant we had agreed £75m ?
This from Sami Mokbel on The Mail website: Mauricio Pochettino rejected the chance to become Real Madrid's next manager because he didn't want to labelled a mercenary. Sportsmail understands Pochettino was, for all intents and purposes, offered the vacant manager's job at the Bernabeu after discreet overtures from Real officials. The prospect of returning to Spain to take one of the biggest jobs in world football was certainly an attractive prospect for Pochettino. But sources claim the Argentine turned his back on a dream switch to Real, knowing such a move would lead to serious questions over his loyalty. Pochettino showed a huge commitment to Tottenham at the end of last month by agreeing a new five-year deal to stay in north London. And the South American is well aware that leaving Tottenham for Real just days after signing his £8.5million-a-year contract would leave his credibility in tatters. Since agreeing his new deal, Pochettino has held talks with a number of key players, pleading with them to follow his example by signing extensions at Tottenham. Among others Pochettino has held face-to-face discussions with Christian Eriksen, who is now poised to sign fresh terms. Harry Kane and Dele Alli have also been lined up for improved contracts. Having spoken about how much he values loyalty to his players, Pochettino knows the consequences if he decided to jump ship. Knowing chairman Daniel Levy would rebuff any approach from Spain, Pochettino knew he would have to force the issue if he wanted the Real job. It's now apparent that Pochettino was unwilling to risk his reputation, fearing his integrity would suffer an irreparable blow. Wow. Poch must have ****ed this bloke's grandmother, mother, sisters and daughters...up the Arse'n'all.
Is there any loyalty in football today, really? Contracts can be broken as easily as we used to break the old 78 records!
This is a truly amazing article displaying how ****ing ridiculous you can be and still draw down a very nice salary as a hack by writing totally nonsensical horseshit... https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/real-madrid-not-given-up-12646671.amp So, Real Madrid are going to continue to pursue Mauricio Pochettino by not pursuing Mauricio Pochettino........and pursuing other managers. It's ****ing genius. I don't know why they haven't tried this before. What could go wrong? You couldn't make this stuff up.........could you?
I read it as : The usual Madrid unsettling machine has failed spectacularly with an embarrassing lie, and rather than just keep digging the mockery hole they will sit back and see how things unfold with Pochettino in the near future.
Well yes, you could make it up. Presumably making things up is what these "sports journalists" are paid for, because they are clearly not paid for finding out the truth.
https://www.express.co.uk/sport/foo...pool-Arsenal-Chelsea-Tottenham-Premier-League If not for his age + cake diva strop, that would be £1 well spent.
https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/970237/Man-Utd-transfer-news-Toby-Alderweireld-Tottenham Gotta love the hacks. Apparently the mythical release clause is 40m and not 25m. I suspect Levy will be keeping Toby if all Man Utd are offering is 55m.
From the Evening standard Magazine, some pretty innocuous Mauricio Pochettino-style stuff.... "He has been linked with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Man Utd repeatedly — outlandish nine-figure sums are often mentioned — but it sounds like he’s willing to stick around and see the unveiling of Tottenham’s humongous new stadium next season. ‘I’d never say never to anything. But you can’t look into the future too much as it takes the pleasure out of now. I’ve still got a few years on my contract.’ Surely it’s more satisfying playing with your mates than sitting on the bench at Real Madrid? ‘Sitting on the bench?’ he mutters in mock outrage. ‘Yeah. Well, all the players can see the way the club’s heading. We’ve got a young team, a young manager, a new stadium, so it’s a great place to be at the minute. But you never know what’s going to happen in football." So, from The Express...... Dele Alli puts Man Utd, Barcelona and Real Madrid on alert with explosive transfer comment
From that doyen of fine prose, The Manchester Evening News.... Manchester United and Tottenham have stalled over their talks for Toby Alderweireld, according to reports. The London Evening Standard suggest both clubs are facing a standoff after failing to agree a deal which they agree to. ****ing hell.
I have read a lot about the gamble villa made which has left them in a financial crisis in the past 2 weeks. They were paying out around 95% of their income on wages. Journalists, reporters and pundits have all spoken about when will clubs learn the lessons from Leeds and Portsmouth (you can add, Wimbledon, Bradford, Coventry, Sheff Wed, Sheff Utd, Charlton, Leicester, Southampon, Sunderland, QPR, Nottingham Forest, Wigan plus others to the list) where financial risk were taken and ruined stable top flight clubs. These are the same journalists, reporters and pundits who constantly demand that we must double our players salaries or they will go elsewhere...at no point do these financi l wizards point out that doubling our wage bill would mean spending over 100% of our income on wages.
