  1. This ****, in an article that mentioned Rose was MOTM, but made no other comment yet spent 4 feckin' paragraphs on how poor Barkley was <doh>

If you gave half a dozen apes a typewriter for a couple of hours, they'd all come up with better copy than this ****.

So they're saying that Michael Laudrup has more credibility than Jurgen Klopp?

Well he's actually won a trophy in English football, so by that logic...

Terrible news: The Sun made a £91.8m loss in the year up to July 1st 2018

It's almost as if their business model is unsustainable when whole cities don't buy their paper...

In a Brazilian youth game,a medical cart came onto the field to help an injured player......then ran over his foot! Isn't football a scream?

According to Facebook,a Frank Lentini (1884-1066) was the owner of 3 legs,4feet,16 toes and 2 sets of working genitals.I don't know about the later....but he could have made a good center half!

That would be a strange reason to gain that nickname. Surely, like Martin Peters after him, it was because he'd arrive unseen at the far post as if invisible? But then he was before my time.

  10. According to Alf Ramsey, Martin Peters was 10 years ahead of his time, so he didn't know himself either <laugh>

The other day The Star ran an interview with The Rock where he said that PC culture is stifling Americans' First Amendment rights and how Generation Snowflake are taking the country backwards as millennials are so focused on looking for something to be offended by.

There's just one teeny tiny problem: The Rock himself has said that he never said those things due to the interview never taking place.

You may wish to buy a copy of The Star now, as they might not be around for too much longer if The Rock's lawyers have a word...

Martin Peters was a goal scorer.John White was a provider, occasionally scoring a goal or two,but he was difficult to pick up.Come to think of it,Alan Gilzean was a provider and goalscorer with the use of his head flicks.

The Guardian player ratings for yesterday's match have each Man U player more highly rated than the Spurs' one except Lingard and Dele were equal. I particularly liked the comment on Jones. 'In a game when Spurs had an abundance of chances, he did not feel any serious discomfort. '
