Cheers. Early days but Cisse looked as if he had been playing in Prem for years. Playing with his mate helps.

I've never seen a full mackem match yet where McClean has player the full length, so cant really judge him properly. I've only seen highlights of the games, so obviously its only his plus points ive seen...

I think he's great, a fantastic buy. You'll do well to hold on to him if he continues like this as i think hes only young isnt he? Hes a lot different to Gutierrez though. I think Guti is a much more defensive winger and he's playing on the wrong wing to his stronger foot so you know he's always gonna cut inside which frustrates the hell out of me... Id much rather someone like McClean on the wing.

Gutierrez has an amazing work rate though and relieves the pressure a lot, i just wish he didnt go down needlessly sometimes and crossed more or just improved his end product really. McClean seems great in the final third, whats he like defensively and in his own half?

Looks like a great player like

Good to hear (for your lo anyway :p).

Its nice to see a winger that keeps himself in the game if things arent going their teams way. A lot of times good wingers can go absent at that point and just rely on the service to them, rather than getting stuck in themselves.

Took his goal against Stoke well. Heard motd say he was from Northern Ireland, and i cant be arsed to wiki him at the minute, has he played for NI yet? Or has he done that annoying traitorlike thing of playing from RoI as a lot do these days?

Shane Ferguson and James McClean could be playing down the left for them if so!

Bit of a daft question. Argie international vs a relatively unknown and unproven talent.

A couple of seasons under his belt and then the question can be answered.

He want's to play for the Republic but in Northern Ireland & Glasgow everyone has their own loyalties, you have to have lived amongst them to understand it.<ok>

Got to disagree mate McClean has been brilliant defensively for us, he has covered Ricco's arse every game.
The lad makes the energizer bunny look tired what a fecking engine..

Having the seen the comments, but McClean has looked promising and we know Gutierrez is a decent player but I would have to say I ain't see enough of McClean to judge, though I get the feeling he is going to be one hell of a better player.
