Cant see Guidolin going even if we lose to Liverpool and Arsenal the following week.

When it was reported that Jenkins wanted Giggs to replace him and that the move was blocked by the owners, my knee jerk reaction was to label them as naive at best or even stupid. In hindsight though I think it could be that the new owners simply didn't want to start their tenure by sacking the manager they sanctioned just a few month before. I don't think they wanted to be perceived as Cellino type owners and so blocked the move in favor of giving Guidolin more time to sort his mess out.

I personally don't think Guidolin is anywhere near good enough for us but if this is the case then I can understand the owners reluctance to let him go so soon. Imo though, taking last season into account and this one so far, he has had more than enough time to prove himself and he hasn't proved himself capable, imo.

Something I noticed yesterday though, maybe someone who has got to games this season can clarify or debunk it for me as I haven't been able to get to any games so far. I have watched all of our games on TV but its not the same but yesterday, for the first time, I noticed Curtis was sitting next to Guidolin on the bench. I don't recall seeing him there before, did anyone else notice? Can someone else confirm this or have I simply just not noticed it before and Curtis has sat next to Guidolin all season.

If he hasn't then it is no coincidence that we are starting to show glimpses of how we can play, Is Curt there to catch Guidolin, again?

Stumpy you may be right about the Yanks, but if they don't act they will own a Championship club instead of a PL one. I think it would be very naïve of them to wait to long, they have to stand up and be counted now. Time to show what you are made of and act to keep our club in the Pl.

Totally agree TLF <ok>

I think Guidolin has three games left as, imo, the owners maybe prepared to bite the bullet against Liverpool and Arsenal. I think, like us, they will need to see some green shoots of a recovery in the next two games but after that?. IMO if we lose to Liverpool, Arsenal then Stoke, I think its Stoke, then he's gone. If win one of those games, he stays for a few more.

That is my worry, he wins a game and stays for a few more, then wins a game and satys for a few more and then we end up with about 15 points come Xmas and relegated. they should look beyond the results and realise that his negative ways will win a few games but not enough to keep us in the league.

It will be.
I fear you could be right !
Unless the team click with a way of playing and not the mish mash of set ups, team selections, subbing decissions , dissent, lack of confidence, general lost looks on their faces at times then we could well blow it this season. So Gwendoline needs to gets a grip and sorts out what he really wants and can transfer it through the players onto the pitch then were faked ! A couple of players stepping up to the plate banging some goals in regularly will be a big plus but they will have to sort out the service departments or just get a more selfish killer instinct going .
Are there many teams worst than us over all this season will be the question soon if we don't get our act together pronto !

It's Watford at home, Stoke away follows Watford.

Could be a certain symmetry - he was appointed the day we played Watford.....

There is no going away from the fact that Guildo is doing the best of his ability and he really thinks we are playing well in his opinion but we know that say if Brendan was the boss yesterday we would probably won paying the Swansea way. I accept the performance was better in most parts but there was bits missing that helped us beat these teams.......We are definitely missing Ash and his leadership and we are missing some players who are not confident in taking players on and they pass the ball to no man land where we inevitably lose the ball.....The other down side is the way Guildo comes across on TV as i accept his English is Broken English that sometimes can come across as something he dont mean but dont know the words to make him understood and that his interpretation in the team talk can easily be misunderstood regarding tactics. Of course this is probably an excuse as i dont know.....Anyway Nice man or not he is not right for premiership football and he needs to be replaced or become a No2 too someone who understands the premiership better..........Oh and ffs stop this praising our opposition as it gives our players an Inferiority complex that they are not good enough....

I hope so Valley, no contest between Bradley and Giggs though is there. The Owners would have to be completely Ga Ga to appoint Bradley under any circumstances

If Giggs does come then I hope he doesn't bring all the Salford City management team with him. They will be able to graze their race horses in Town Hill though, could be a deal breaker for them.

It will be Giggs with Scholes and Butt as his number 2 I think. Would still like a Pheelan or a Rene Mulestene to add a little more experience.

I like the idea of Giggs commercially and I believe he would be capable as manager due to his recent experiences as assistant under van Gaal, his vast experience as the main player in an incredibly successful club while under the wings of the most successful premiership manager by far in Ferguson.

Even with all of that in his favor I still like to see experience along side him and the only way I'd be 100% happy with his arrival would be if Curtis was his second. I wouldn't mind his mates from Salford coming either as long as they all deferred to Curt.

Hope he doesn't bring Steve McLaren.....

Let us all pray 55282 that its no more than a bored journalists sick joke

Swansea City linked with former USA coach Bob Bradley

This was always going to be my worry, we know that the Yanks are excellent at one thing and that is believing they know best and not listening to those who know more. it wouldn't surprise me if there was something in this I just pray it is wrong.
