I'm of the opinion that either Zola or Giggs can do well here. IMO what is needed is for us is to play more positively because we do have players capable of hurting teams. I remember Rodgers having difficult managerial spells at other clubs before coming here and he was very successful.

I do like Guidolin but he is guilty of being too defensive from the start of games. It maybe a system that works in Italy but the premier league is too fast and attack minded for that system to work IMO. Someone needs to show him how we established ourselves as a premiership club and it wasn't by trying to shut up shop. IMO our strengths are our pacy wingers and ball possession and our weaknes is our defence. It beggars belief why he keeps on insisting on playing a system that doesn't utilise our strengths.

On a more positive and interesting note. Montero has just signed a new four year deal. I can't imagine him being happy under Guidolin with his lack of game time and publicity being criticised. So is something happening behind the scenes??

We can all hope.

Zola wouldn't last 5 minutes working for Jenkins and neither would Giggsy.......They know how a good club is run and it's not Jenkins idea of how a club should be run in the premiership....

Who do you think the Yanks would listed to on footballing matters? Jenkins or the man who won everything at the biggest club in world football under arguably the greatest manager of all time?

I think the Zols link is just a media made story. I don't see any truth in it at all. Would be refreshing to have a few stories linking us with Spanish managers. We're set up that way

That is what I want, and we need to get back to our roots with Martinez, Giggs is no good for us..................<ok>

1-1, good start, now can we get our best player off the wing where he is being sacrificed to accommodate Fer, Fer off and Monterro/Barrow on. Get some shape back

I'm not sure about Giggs. What does he bring? Yes, experience on the pitch and as a number 2 but what is his philosophy? What type of game does he like his teams to play? Is he conservative? Is he cavalier? I've no idea. Does anyone else?

I don't think anyone knows as it'll be his first managerial appointment but I'm expecting he'd have a plan that'll be reviewed by the board.
