Jenkins loves praise and he certainly have had loads of that. Not a lot of praise was really warranted as there is a small army of accountants and solicitors who were keeping the club sound but as the chairman He was the one who got all the glory and he lapped it up......Our problems started two seasons ago when the Morgans lost their interest in the club and where they once overruled Jenkins like they did buying Bony because Jenkins was adamant that he did not want to spend that amount on one player....He had his nose put out a bit over that.......Moving on as the Boardroom main people were showing less and less interest and with 2 boardroom members quitting and with the knowledge that the club was up for sale then Jenkins unofficially made himself the main man running a one man band of making every decision to do with the club and if you look at his record like Running players contracts so low that we ended up getting nothing for them, or when the manager identified players they want then he would hang on until the time had run out and we never got them.....(i can recall this happening twice there may be more)
We are in this state because of Jenkins inabilities and his stubbornness of not listening to people more qualified on the players we need and the type of manager we need but wont spend the money on....Jenkins have enjoyed a charmed life but now it is time to kick him upstairs and appoint a new chairman who can see the problems and has the ability to put us back on track before it's too late.....

He will be gone soon and i hope Jenkins gets replaced as well or we will get another cheap crap manager....
So, Huw Jenkins is coaching the squad, selecting the team, implementing the formations, developing tactics and driving our downfall. He's also screwing Guidolin, the players and all us fans up the arse and carrying out his duties as club chairman. Wow, he really is a busy boy isn't he? So, what the 'I hate Jenkins jokers' are saying is that 'I know nothing' Guidolin is to blame for none of our demise and its all down to that pesky Jenkins, what complete and utter bollocks guys, get a grip ffs. Under Guidolins stewardship we have devolved, its as simple as that and has nothing to do with Jenkins, his wife or his dog.
Not long ago each game we played was exciting because we could beat any one on our day. We played with style and we had a chance of points in almost every game. Us fans looked up the league table and knew we were capable of climbing it. We had hope then and expectations in games and it all fed our excitement. We were a good looking team with class, games were a battle and we fought well and even then Jenkins was slagged off by some but he was with us all as we rose through every division and he is still with us now.
Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, we have utterly lost our identity, we have no guile, no style and no class. We are unrecognizable as a team compared to just 18 months ago and look defeated before the ref blows the whistle for kick off. We look hapless, clueless, talentless, inept, passive. Right now we are a championship bound football club. We used to be easy on the eye now we're just plain ugly.
So why's that then? who picks the team, the coach, who decides our style of play, the coach, who develops the tactics, the coach, who decides the formation, the coach, who sets the team up, the coach, who plants the mindset in the players, the coach, and who is supposed to give them everything they need to win, the coach and who the fekk is the coach? its not Jenkins my friends. As Coach and manager its Guidolins job to do this and more.
Imo, Guidolin has injected fear into our DNA which has killed our style. We play in fear, frightened to attack, frightened to take players on, frightened to tackle, frightened to close down, frightened to lose. We are passive all over the pitch which makes us vulnerable everywhere and I suspect the players know what they are being told to do is wrong, hence their displays of resentment and dissent.
Guidolin has done this, not the owners, not our transfer activity, not Williams leaving and certainly not Jenkins, just Guidolin, 'I know nothing' Guidolin.

You make some valid points stumpy with regard to Franco's failings, yes he doesn't do subs very well, and his Tactics are baffling on times, but that could well be masked by players who don't give a damn, because they will not work at what he is instructing them to do, Ki has an attitude that goes before him, he is known for his petulance, just ask his national team coach, as for Taylor another player who thinks well above his station, the guys performances for us last season were nothing short of a Sunday Pub team player, utter dross, plays like a coward, and did so under Monk also. The excess of player power at the club is a problem that lies squarely at the feet of Huw Jenkins in my view, you cannot let him of the hook. If he hadn't encouraged and indeed promoted Garry Monk for stirring up trouble under two separate managers then maybe they'd have a bit more discipline, and every Jack and his dog knows that Franco has been sold short in the transfer window this season, not to mention the uncertainty at board level and new American owners combined with our new manager who has a significant communication barrier provide the basic ingredients for unrest and uncertainty, that cannot be all Franco's fault.
Also if you sell our club captain and stalwart 3 or 4 days before the season and replace him with an unknown championship player, then sell your best attacker, get rid of 3 other strikers and replace with a Spanish journeyman and an injured youngster (Baston) - then who's fault is that? not really the manager's fault, now is it, so I'm afraid while I agree that Franco's tactics and subs are an issue, the problem goes much deeper than that, and while Huw Jenkins has a good track record overall, his last 18 months is dismal.
Now Finally the real issue! YES it's Huw Jenkins!! Players and player power need strong managers, their egos look to big names, after all we are in the top league on the planet, but here at Swansea city, we don't do big named managers, like Sousa, Laudrup etc because our Chairman cannot handle them properly, he has demonstrated that on more than one occasion, so we go with weak easy going managers because it suits Huw jenkins, and that is the bloody issue that is at the heart of the club, and all the Jack army now it, it is Huw Jenkins who really is the problem for where we are, because he will not bring in a strong minded coach who would knock our over paid ponces into shape, because he cannot handle strong minded coaches, because he loses too much control himself, this was hinted at by Martinez, only Rodgers managed the tight rope act with Huw, ask yourself why we have gone through so many managers? there is no stability and we have now lost all continuity and character on the pitch because of Huw Jenkins limitation with getting on with big managers, Huw is really the issue and always has been.

That said, in many respects, apart from the top 6 - 8 teams, every club in the PL is in a relegation fight annually
We'll agree to differ Dragon coz imo Jenkins is one of the reasons we're in the prem.
I think our transfer activity, other than Williams, was decent, especially when you consider we had a reduced window of opportunity to work in due the time it took purchase the club and for the FA ratifiy the deal.
Agree re Williams though, he was and is a massive loss to us but no matter who we got as a replacement, unless it was Vincent Kompany, it was always going to hit us hard. I am surprised he wasn't replaced and to compound the situation I don't think any of us foresaw how poor Fernandez was going to be. He, like all of our players, is struggling to get any kind of form under Guidolin.
Re managers, as I remember we've been used as a stepping stone by all of them except for Laudrup. Sousa did nothing but advertise himself a la Ayew, all the time he was here. Imo it was because of his boring, defensive style that we missed out on the play offs that season. I do remember us all complaining bitterly about the way we were scraping points with him as coach. Then, after saying he wouldn't, when Leicester came and smiled at him he did, he fekked off. If I remember right Leon left because of him. Re Laudrup, I wont rekindle a futile debate, he's marmite on this board and I don't want to start any arguments up again, but it was the actions of his agent which had much, if not all, to do with him leaving as he did, but love him or hate him his first year, after our first year in the prem, was our best of times.
I am hearing whispers though, just whispers, not even rumors yet but.........................
If our mutation continues, 2 weeks, 3 tops, then its bye bye Guido and then.............

Jenkins might well be one of the reasons why we are here, but he will also be the reason we will exit the Prem too, his transfer dealings these last two seasons have not been great, Klinsman you say! will this be another Sousa, Laudrup?
By the way Sousa was elbowed out of the club, Huw did everything he could to get rid of him, other than sack him, obviously due not wanting to pay him off, it was only after Huw's unprincipled antics that Sousa looked to other clubs, I'm fast coming to the conclusion that Huw's time is up, lets hope the Yanks have bigger and better ambitions than Jinx...........

Stumpy, funny you should say that, me and my son were talking about the hopefully imminent departure of Guidolin and the first person on both our lips was Klinsman, now whether that just has to do with him being the USA manager I don't know, but I would jump at the chance of having him. I would think there would be instant respect for him from the players and would hope he has built up the tactical nous to get us playing attractive attacking football.
