So 16 year old kids can just skip school and sail to America on expensive yachts to lobby the UN for lucrative contracts and cry on telly calling everyone evil ?

If you take your 16 year old out of school for a trip to Lanzarote you would get called in by the school fined and threatened with legal action .


But yeah she is special

She's not dictating anything. They don't have to do anything in response to what she's saying.
She's also not using her own knowledge, but scientific consensus.
She's asking them to pay attention to people that know what they're talking about. What's wrong with that?

I doubt it will muck her life up, but if it does then that's a consequence of her own decisions.
She'll probably end up with a relatively cushy time, as she's a name with global recognition.
Her aspergers doesn't seem particularly relevant, either.

This is what I mean about how she as in individual seems to trigger so many people. Mainly middle aged men it seems.

If you want to attack what she's saying, fine. But back it up with some evidence. Otherwise it just looks like the rant that it is.

Most climate scientists are middle aged white men and nobody wants to have climate change mansplained to them by a member of the patriarchy.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but we are all doomed. Humans are to selfish and there are no viable solutions to man made climate change without going back to the dark ages.
