I don't think she even had hold of this ball. Totally wrong decision with what she did. It appeared to be a calculated, planned, thought out decision. It should have been a decision from the heart, like Corbyn and Khan.

I was being generous, mate. Must get the numbers up on this petition. Use every means available.

I am normally a Tory voter, but after they have taken us to Brexit needlessly and the snap election I think the Tory party are proving to be full of ill judgment, arrogant and clueless

A comment on Have I Got News For You, was something like "They've taken a week to negotiate with DUP, and haven't reached agreement, so how are they going to negotiate with 27 countries?"
Someone then added "And that's with the DUP speaking the same language".
Well I, and the audience, thought it was funny.

It would be funny if it really wasn't so scary

Ashby, I'm with you. All my adult life I have voted Tory. Many will hate me as I was brought up in the Thatcher years and that is what shaped my outlook. Maybe getting older you start caring a bit more about other people and that is why I feel as I do now.

Or maybe it is that no matter how hard she tries, May isn't Thatcher. I don't mean the policies (with 30+ years hindsight I definitely mean that!), but in stature etc. Thatcher for all her wrongs was a leader. May is a total disaster. Meek, Mild and a total chicken to face real people.

Whatever you all think of Maggie, can you imagine her NOT visiting the people?

I guess we are of similar age then. Does May not learn. Many people were less than impressed by her decision not to enter into a TV debate, and her decision not to meet survivors. All this ballooney about strong leadership, she is proving to be anything but strong, or worse just doesn't care

And when she does speak, as she did yesterday, it's in a carefully stage-managed, softly lit interview with the BBC, with advance notice of the questions.

Despicable.

If the public, in general, became more caring as they aged, why would so many pensioners have voted Conservative, this month, especially when their manifesto was pretty much anti everyone who didn't contribute to their party funds?

Yep 100%. What I will say, although I'm a grandad...I'm far from a pensioner (47) [emoji16]

I'm just saying my views have changed over the last 2-3 years, I've started to lean more to the left (still a tiny, tiny bit right of centre though).

I've got more caring and worry more about the world now than I ever did in youth. I worry about the sort of world my grandson is going to live in long after I am gone.

I don't think I could vote Tory in another election, but it isn't as black and white as some people think. There is some good from them (little though at the moment) and also some bad from the left. However, I feel the bad from the left may be worth taking a punt on if another election comes around.
