robert green has a signed a 2year contract & i thought it was 4 years, well there's the signing lads, good bit of business, your thoughts.

Any time we sign the current England #2 in any position, that's great news. If we signed Leighton Baines (#2 left back) or Micah Richards (#2 right back) we'd be partying, and whilst Green maybe isn't as headline making as those two would be, it's still a current England International, choosing to play for QPR.

Very happy with this news.

Not very happy, haven't rated him. Only 2 years makes it better. But now he will be fantastic!

As someone said on another site: GP would have given him a 4yr deal, Beard gives him 2yr deal.
Anyway...
We now have a player at the Euro's!!! Another QPR player in the England squad.

Maybe Phil Beard has been reading Flyer's condemnation of signing oldies on long contracts!

I hope Green does better than Paddy, a two year deal may indicate that Sparky is still going to have his spies out for a younger and more long term solution.

Not sure where he goes next but I can only wish Paddy the best of luck, despite his naff season in the Premiership his efforts were the stuff of legend in our promotion push.

I hope Paddy stays, coz I love the guy. But this has got to be a good signing IMO, and the third signing on a free now. I'm sure the wages are sizable, but a two year deal with no transfer fee has got to be good business. <ok>
