Hi everyone
A bit of fun. I was thinking about some of the great players Saints have had in the last 50 odd years and I thought I would name some and get people to input their own. So the players I can think off are

Ronnie Ecklund
Marian Pahars
Ivan Golacs
Kevin Keegan
Alan Shearer
Mark Wright
Eyal Berkovic

these are just some. There are loads more. I’ve deliberately stayed away from more recent players but feel free

For me Nicky Holmes, Steve Williams, Phil Boyer, Jimmy Gabriel, Frank Saúl, Martin Chivers, Terry Paine and Jimmy Melia. More recently Rickie Lambert and Lallana are just a few of the many great footballers who have been at the club.

Presume Frank Saul was whilst at Tottenham?
Certainly don't remember much to be enthused about at the Dell!

In part exchange for Chivers plus cash. Ted Bates used the cash to purchase much needed experience to.survive. Whilst not the greatest, he certainly never let the team down, and perhaps enabled Ron Davies to become even more prolific

Thunder thighs, John McGrath. The elegant skills of Hughie Fisher. Add to that Ken Wimhurst. And from the late 70s, the under-rated Malcolm Waldron.
Funny I met him by accident last year. He happens to be mates with an old school friend that I saw in Burton in the pub on a Sunday lunch. After 10 mins of chatting I said “you are Malcom Waldron” lol and he laughed and said no one ever recognises me:)

He lives Bransgore way now I think.
