Has reiterated his desire to quit Norwich via his twitter page.

Am I the only one who thinks this is nailed on for us?

The only thing I see stopping it is if a certain Geordie takes over Lambert and tries to spite us.

Don't know if his argument is with the board or the manager, but if it's the board he might follow Lambert to Villa.

Am I the only one to think he may be a one season wonder? I think we can get better.

Not saying your right, but players like Holt do tend to get sussed out by premier league defenders in the second season. For me, the timing of this ties in perfectly with Lamberts impending Villa appointment...cant see him coming to us (whereas I could a couple of weeks ago when he first started moaning)

agree with biffa and mackem above

personally I don't want to see the lad at the club and the 5-7m he would cost would be better used on a left back (Taiwo, Tienne or M'Bengue)

Fletcher is the man to go for with a player like Guidetti on loan as the second choice

Paul Lambert is ready for another bitter battle with Norwich as he prepares a £3million bid for Grant Holt.

The Scot is set to be named Aston Villa’s new boss on Saturday, after compensation was finally thrashed out with the Canaries on Friday night.

The 42-year-old will sign a three-year deal, then will further infuriate his old club by making a move for wantaway forward Holt.

The big striker re-Twitter-ated his intention to quit Carrow Road on Friday, and insisted he will not sign a new deal after running out of patience with the club’s transfer policy.

He wrote: “Just to stop the rumour mill again. I have expressed to the board and the CEO that I want to leave the football club. Due to disagreements.

“I have loved my 3 years at the club and it saddens me to write this but want you to hear it from me first.”

Reported that Fat Sam has offered 4.5million for our pieman. If defences were going to suss him out they would have done it by now. He's a bargain at the kind of money being talked about and the sort of player who will score a hat trick against your dear neighbours.Grab him quick.
