I could maybe explain it by reference to your footballing fullback contemporary Roger DeVries. Every time Roger got the ball he would kick it high into the West Stand of Boothferry Park or up onto the railway at the back of Kempton. Then someone would return the ball and the next time Roger got it he would repeat his misplaced punt. And this went on forever. An eternity of futile endeavour, which one is born to endure. Only joshing Rog if you're reading. You're a City great of the 70s and your Missus was one of my PE teachers.
Not surprised by the news out of Posh..but am surprised to see Ferguson is back in pole. Terry's record of W11 D2 L11 was just not good enough. If only some of those looses had been draws. ps...Only 5 points off Barnsley in 6th..
There are three certainties in life: death, taxes and Darren Ferguson being appointed manager of Peterborough United following the dismissal of the previous manager.
He’ll wait until summer when he is appointed as manager of Peterborough United following the dismissal of Darren Ferguson.
Two nice pay offs for McCann Enjoy his pay off from us and Peterborough? The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
So 'one plan' is found out again, perhaps he needs to change his favourite sayin, if plan A isn't working get a fkn plan B !!
"I’m disappointed with some of the stuff aimed at me on social media since we made the decision," MacAnthony said on his 'Hard Truth' podcast. "Aaron Mclean saw some of it and rang me to ask ‘who in their right mind wouldn’t want a re-energised Darren Ferguson in charge of those players?’. He reckoned it was the perfect scenario and he was someone who was once sacked as a coach by Darren! "I have to say Grant and Cliff took the news in classy fashion by thanking me for the opportunity. It was important to me to look them in the eye to tell them as too often I’ve been in the States when managers have left and I don’t feel comfortable letting people go in those circumstances. "I gave Grant and Cliff and everything they wanted, but it just didn’t work out. It always hurts when you let good men with families leave, but it’s the old cliché of football being a results business. They have been compensated financially and they will be back in work within five minutes. "We have kept the rest of their staff on."
