If we are indeed in talks with a player of this quality, I feel that a new stadium must indeed be around the corner since a player like this would want to play in front of larger crowds than our current capacity.

Why would a regular substitute, at Real Madrid, the champions of La Liga, which is the best league in the world, join a bottom of the table team in England? He could go to plenty of other places and start every game whilst competing at a much higher level. If he does join QPR, which I highly doubt, then it would just be for the money, and you will be a stepping stone in his career.

I'm not trying to wind anyone up. I would do exactly the same if I saw a thread in the Newcastle board with them linked to a player like Ribery, or if I saw a thread in the Fulham board with them linked to a player like Montolivo. Etc.
