I find it hard to look past Tiger Roll, so that’s my main bet, but 2 great looks I’ve back each way are Jury Duty and Up for Review.

I've had a stormer these last two days. You want to be looking at horses that stay, which is half the battle in the National. The two sure ones to me are Joe Farrell and Vintage Clouds. They finished 1st and 3rd in the Scot national and Vintage Clouds has competed and placed in the Welsh national.

If you're looking for a huge price horse then Veiux Lion Rouge is currently 80/1. He's tackled the Aintree course 6 times and has completed every time. Not many horses can do that. He's the right weight and age for the average national winner too.

I've stuck £50 on BRIAC. Running at Chepstow. I've followed it all season and the jockey claimer should have it back on a winning mark, today.

I've placed £350 in bets and every one of them could lose and I'll still walk away in profit. Happy days.

Good luck to everybody whatever you back.

Oh and Gordon Elliott taking up over a quarter of the field in the National is a disgrace. That needs to be restricted to 5 horses, per trainer, maximum.

    Stick with me Dorset!

Favourite rarely wins a national but it always looked like the right thing to me.

Tiger roll was a bad price for a race of this magnitude but it p*ssed it. Rarely are the bookies wrong. Hope you had a few bob on it Nads. The other one died at the 1st fence.
Mine are still f*cking running I think.

I had 25EW on Walk in the Mill at 28/1. Happy with that. I had 20 on Sunderland at 6/1 when we were getting beat. Happy days.

Did you do the BET365 offer? They give you your EW stake back up to £250.

I bet 5 x £25 EW singles. They give me £125 back and I won £200 on that bet. Great win for you, I just couldn't back it at the price it was because of the risk factor.

Used 365 for the each ways I’d forgotten about that so I’ll have £40 back off that.

Aye the odds were ****e for national but it just felt like you couldn’t look past it, and so it proved.

    Bookies got rinsed in that.

Love it. I enjoy seeing them getting a hammering. I agree. After watching him obliterate the Cheltenham field I turned around to my old man and said he'll do the same in the National. I just couldn't back 4's no matter what. Well done, though.

Well my daughter (8 year old] was asked, by my mother, to pick her a horse to back each way. She looked at them, taking into account form (the name), going (what colours they were wearing), and jockey (whether she liked the picture if the horse in the internet)...

She picked Magic of light!! £42 returned!!

As most of you know, I don’t do “gambling”. I only bet with free money and only make profit

I'm a gambling man. I've always enjoyed a bet and have a few quid to burn after Aintree.

It would be good if I can add to the pot today...

Both my bets above come in easily. Where has the betting thread that we used to have stickied?

I discussed this a while ago with Marcus, Saffy, and neither of us know why it 'became unstuck' :emoticon-0112-wonde

I should find it and stick it again, shouldn't I :emoticon-0148-yes:

p.s. Mrs. A. also picked 'Magic of Light' (well, she picked no.18) although I only put £1 each way on it :emoticon-0100-smile

    Edit: Stickied again :emoticon-0105-wink:
