Thanks all and sorry to those missed.

I'm sure I'll be back on weekends and some evenings.

I get my own office but the batards attached my desk to the wall opposite the door so anyone walking down the hall can see what I'm doing.

I do have to sandbag a little bit the first few months or they're going to wonder why I'm suddenly more productive.

Not to worry, you will be lightning fast with page switching before long and have eyes in the back of your head :D

install a lock to the door and blinds to the windows <ok>

i've a unique concept for you milk... close the door.

if its a glass door stick up a picture on it.

if no door.... get beads

if desk is fixed buy a privacy screen.... they are only a few quid and if you can get a slight angle on screen it should block it off.

For some reason bosses tend to get a suspicious about that sort of thing - can't imagine why
In the dim and distant past when I worked in printing, I used to operate an early form of digital laser scanner. State-of-the-art at the time, the front end was in its own room in daylight, but it sent to a darkroom where I'd have to remove film and put it through a processor.
Warm temperature, very low light, gently thrumming machinery - fall asleep.

Bad buzz mate, I know what it's like, in 2008 we moved building in Dublin from an old office style building to a modern open plan floor with the directors scowling out of their offices at everyone, where they could also see the lifts.

No mention! Disappointed, I guess I didn't annoy you enough <laugh>

Get some google glass <whistle> [HASHTAG]#sorted[/HASHTAG]

Damn it! I didnt forget you, I just didn't write you down. You were going to get all my tinfoil (for hat making) I must have thought I put you down and didn't. Sorry.

It's actually not too bad at the moment. I like my office actually. Just shame I can't goof off.

Change is always a difficult time for those of us who dont like change, only to see change is not bad, after the fact <laugh> Me all over when this new forum replaced the old one
